I think Luther treated her the most harshly. Diego was mean at times but didn't hate her. Allison was harsh in some scenes but evidently cared about her the most. I don't think I can recall Five and Klaus ever being mean or harsh to her. Ben made a remark about her not having powers but he was too young to be taken seriously that time. In conclusion Luther treated her the worst among the siblings.

Vanya is a interesting character because she seems to be easily one of the most powerful characters and didn't seem to have control over her powers at all which made her dangerous but she also got treated like crap for being "normal" afterwards I admire her for attacking her siblings killing pogo however is unforgivable

Almost everybody in the comment section seems to ignore that when Vanya first discovered her power the power took control of her, I don't think she was totally aware of what she was doing. I think the more powerful she becomes the more she loses control over what she's doing unless she learns eventually.

I think the implications they’ve tried to hunt at is there’s always sound like if there’s even a light breeze that has a sound he can harness that into energy it doesn’t have to be this big overture. Especially with Harlan talking about everything having it’s own sound beneath the sounds of the world. Viktor is incredibly powerful but I think he’s also very scared of that power and uses it sparingly.

possibly unpopular opinion: vanya's actions are definitely understandable, and there are certain things she definitely didn't mean to do. her family and society traumatized the shit out of her, and she never learned to control her powers and emotions correctly because of her shitbag of a father. her outbursts are completely understandable when you take into consideration how long she's been bottling shit up and suppressing her feelings and her powers. and she never meant to seriously hurt anyone until she snapped at the end, and even then it makes sense because her siblings hurt her so badly, and her causing the apocalypse wasn't intentional because allison shot her and caused her energy to be misdirected. however it doesn't excuse her actions, and i definitely think she shouldn't have done what she did. trauma is a bitch though so i understand why. tldr; trauma is a bitch and i understand why she did the things she did, unintentional or not, but i'm not excusing her actions because a lot of them were pretty horrible.

Speaking from someone who has this form of personal trauma, not to the extent of the show but still, I after many years of consideration come back to this single truth. Just because you've had bad things happen to you does not justify you doing bad things. Many reasons why. Not just because it's morally wrong to hurt others because you're in pain. But you personally and emotionally die. You lose yourself amongst the chaos, the pain, regret, guilt, unfairness. If you go down that path. Yes, you are justified for wanting to get pay back towards those that hurt you. But at the cost of the parts of you that you love? The one they determined wasn't worth respect in the first place? It's tricky to navigate, but be diligent. You don't know what you're losing till after you break it yourself.

unpopular opinion: i get that she had a sick, twisted and horrible past, but that does not justify her actions. im not saying that she should have turned out righteous and oozing goodness, i totally understand how the trauma has shaped her and made her do the (albeit annoying and self-centred) things she does, but what I hate the most is how people (us audiences in the real world) idolise her and feel empowered by her power. it pains me that younger audiences will look at her and be all "wow, she's so heroic for overcoming adversity". what she did at the end, was not being "powerful", it was losing control. it was forsaking all responsibility and becoming a threat to society.

i kind of think that her trauma and eventual retaliation against her families actions is kind of the point of her character. the entire plot is based around her causing these horrible things, but her family was the ones that pushed her to this point, so in a sense it all kind of trails back to them. it really is their fault, which is also why they can't really hold vanya responsible since she never would've done these things had she been loved or treated well by her family.

That's what I've noticed in the younger side of Gen-Z. They believe that trauma justifies everything, and all actions done because of that trauma is the fault of the person who caused the trauma. It's a victim mindset.

But what if society became a threat to you, because in a way the people she was raised with caused this when there were so many chance for they to take a different root. If anything it should show and teach real life people to be kind to people and come from a place of understanding instead Instant judgment. If Luke would have emotional been there for her the ending would be completely different. It’s like if you gave baby bambi a machine. That’s how I view vanya. I thinks he gets a pass. If anything it’s the people or “society” that needs to change their way of treating people. My golden rule is be kind.

I love Elliot Page and I'm really happy that they accepted him for who he is, but it bothers me a little that they changed the name of the character "VANYA" to "Victor" considering that his name was related to his power: sound waves that came out of his VIOLIN. Even in the comics you can see how during the orchestra his body was transformed into a shape similar to one.

I thought his birth name was chosen symbolically as it was a codename of the Tsar Bomba (the most powerful weapon ever created by humanity). And maybe the renaming in Season 3 was also bcs he stopped being a bomb during Season 2's finale (and the previous name was no longer needed, apart from as well showing that trans people very often change their name after coming out). I don't know how the "Vanya"/"Ivan" name has anything to do with violins. My personal theory, that in TUA it has more to do with his god-like powers (the name IRL literally has God in its meaning, while it's very subtle, it could be a genius move by Gerard Way)

Being a living superweapon doesn't make him a "villian" per se (in Season 1). It wasn't his fault that the other siblings f-d up, but that's just because they didn't knew the details until it was too late. But it all goes back to Reginald (and his 4D chess grand plan), that he purposefully didn't trained Number Seven to control his powers prematurely. The only downside is that he was possessed back then (probably even voluntarily), and didn't understand that he was about to wipe out the human race (either by creating massive shockwave, that probably was originally happened before Five's arrival to the post-apocalyptic world, or by shattering the Moon). But that's no excuse still, even during all of this he didn't mind to kill random innocent people (that one car driver, and the audience in the concert where he unleashed a force wave "out of defense mechanism") or to suck out life force out of his siblings (even if they were going to knock him out, if that would meant saving the world from him).

They pushed him, hid him and triggered the trauma and hatred that he grew to have for their father. The most fucked up and safely fucked up among them is Allison. Victor was never taught to control his powers, yet he did in further seasons with help.

Let's be honest. Luther and Diego are mostly useless. They're the weakest of all 7 and also the least intelligent ones. They treated Vanya like trash and yet everyone just forget the fact they cause the most trouble throughout the story. (Diego is the main troublemaker)
