Viktor should have gotten all 6s for artistry. His long program was by far the best among the men’s division!

Really messy, Viktor didn't have the greatest technique BUT I always really enjoyed his artistry especially once he turned professional.

I think this should have at least been 2nd in the LP, but he did skate in an early group which hurt. Urmanov should have been 3rd or 4th in the Long.

If he had been in the top 3 after the short he would have won gold with this skate for sure. And he been in the final flight he would have been placed 1st in the long program by the judges.

That's the nice thing baout this system, you can still jump up to a medal from behind. Look at Volosozhar/Trankov at these past worlds, vaulting from 8th to silver and almost winning. Had Petrenko and Browning skated better in the short, they'd be on the podium.

It's too bad he didn't skate like this in the SP, he'd have probably medalled for sure.

for some reason the guys in this day look heavy when they jump and they telegraph the Axel like there's no tomorrow. Nowadays guys doing quads look light and sprite and throw in triples with little telegraphing or even crossovers. what's changed?

I'm not sure what the Romanian judge has smoked. It was a nice program but it wasn't even close of being worthy 5.9/6.0.
