It would plug solid in 2 metres in our clay soils. Also stones would block it. Maybe if dimensions were bigger? The fact that the only one available to see is just a demonstration model and not a working ones says it all!

In south Mississippi heavy clay your gonna hook that to a tractor and in a few seconds of plowing it will be packed with dirt.. Second I don't care about how proud some European is over a gimmick plow shape.. He carries it in his hand like its a pet.. But never uses it.. If you make something thats different and works great your gonna have a dozen camera angles showing how great it is with side by side comparisons to the standard plows..

At the end of the day this is all a mute point. Moldboard plows are obsolete anyway. The farms that are not no-till primarily use chisel plows.

The only reason I can think as to why they do not use the plough is because it is literally one of a kind and it must be a protected piece of history. It's basically priceless to whom it belongs. With that said, they should really just make more of them and make them available for the public to purchase and use on their permaculture farms.

Benjamin Barber That's not a reason they can't be fabricated. My guess is that it's impractical and gets blocked any time a stone enters it. Well that isn't a guess, it's bound to happen when you look at the shape, a stone will not pass through that tube, it will become lodged.

@@sleepyhollow8205 thorough tests have been concluded using this plow, and great results have been achieved while VS was still alive. 1) at the time farmers were afraid of overproduction that would drive the prices down, and 2) government rep asked VS to pay to have this device "approved" and knowledge spread. we need to remember, that for any regular person VS was just a forester and did not have academic reputation (nor skill/temper to communicate with the people of such kind) required to float his invention. I only guess that much higher yields achieved using this plow mean rocks jamming inside it, wasn't a huge problem.

@@ferdlhofreiter45 Ploughs are extremely useful in agriculture but their repetitive use every agriculture season is destroying the soil. In a regenerative farming system using no tillage and direct drilling ploughing once every 4-5 years is more beneficial than none at all and would be even more so if we put forward and developed a plough of such like this bio-plough.

@@dirtygears6607 as a mechanical engineer I'm interested in the benefits of this exact devide and where they come from. I do appreciate "no till" in my own garden, but what I'm interested in here, is that horribly looking device, which this sharlatan is trying to make seem useable. Because what I see, is a device that delivers about the same result, (when it comes to turning over soil) as your average plow. What I see on top of that is, that the schauberger-device is worse at it, as it does the same job but needs probably even a magnitude more of force (=energy =fuel).

Good idea to preserve microbe strata but unless the fields in which it is used have been. completely sifted of rocks, I can see getting jammed and blocked every time a rock enters the chute. Normal ploughs don't get blocked because they operate externally. Perhaps that is the real reason this plough never made it?
@0623kaboom
@0623kaboom 4 жыл бұрын
yup rocks would be a problem ... funny part though this plow if made of copper will increase your field yield more than your normal plow will ... so any well used field will benefit greatly from the new plow head ... if you normal plow was made of copper it would be about 1/3rd as fertile as the schauberger plow head if made of copper as well ...

@Mitch Swanson ploughing fields is hard work, and often takes much time to complete. The last thing farmers want is to have to stop ploughing and lose momentum every time a rocks jams up the plough. I want this plough implemented too, but the rock problem must be accounted for. Time and energy costs money!
@NE0W0LF

I didn’t see any “rock problems” in the short little video so nobody can really say that would be a problem until somebody tried it. We are looking at something that hardly anyone has ever seen. Viktor Schauberger’s work is almost alien it is so different than anything I’ve ever seen. Quite brilliant. It sucks that this knowledge has been repressed and hidden from the world.
@DreadX10
@DreadX10 2 жыл бұрын
And it will have more drag than a normal plough, despite what was said in the video. Larger swept area increases drag and the lifting of the soil also costs energy. A normal plough doesn't really lift but topples the soil. This plough seems to perform the same function as a cultivator, that is loosening the soil without turning it over.
