Interview of Listunova after winning Floor You remember with your head, but your body has forgotten - How's your back? - It practically doesn’t bother me anymore. Of course, there were some shortcomings and shortcomings at this tournament - there was little time for a full recovery, for complex programs. I managed to do what I managed to prepare, taking into account the tight deadlines. I’m glad that I started with something. - On the floor, and in the all-around, and in the final, in the first acrobatic diagonal you slightly under-rotated the double double, which is why you swayed forward, did not land on the landing. What was the reason? - Lacks speed. I need to work on this element, it is still raw for me, but it is still a G difficulty group, a difficult jump. Perhaps the new carpet played a role, I already said that it is so well-springy, as usual. I have not jumped on it for a long time, and even the fact that I have now been able to restore it is already pleasing. - Now, looking back, can you say what was the mistake that made the injury worse? Maybe you shouldn’t have competed in the Russian Championship? - It’s hard to answer this question. I try not to look back - what happened, happened. It’s in the past, and this is sport, I competed here, other athletes, many of us have various problems, this is part of the job. - When you returned to the gym for training, were you scared? Didn’t memories of pain limit you? - It wasn't scary because of the injury. But the muscles, the body forgot the movements, the correct motor skills on the elements were gone. You remember with your head, but not with your body. But everything came back without problems and complications, quite quickly. - After the Tokyo Olympics, you took a break due to an elbow injury - and grew. Now, after a break due to a back injury, you have changed again. New levers, new weight - does this hinder you or do you have time to adapt? - This is absolutely normal, especially for gymnasts, sooner or later we have to turn into girls, such is nature. The good thing is that my changes occurred during the recovery period after the injury, when there were no loads, and perhaps now my physique has already formed. Yes, there were problems with weight, I was no exception, but I hope that in the future there will be no critical changes.

So happy to see her back! She looks great. Great to see Vicky back! ❤ She looked like she was having so much fun out there.

she did WAYYY better here than in the all-around yet her score was only .066 higher?? but out of both routines this one was more deserving of a 14+ score

The scores never make sense. When they want you on the AA podium they will throw her the insane numbers like what happened in quals. Had she not fallen on beam she would have beat Kalmykova and their AA programs were nowhere near equal at this competition. The same thing happened at Nationals this year. Her 14.5 floor from AA there was PURELY to ensure she medaled. She scored lower the next day in EF for a much cleaner routine.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but what CoP is this? The same one from the Paris games and most recent Worlds? I ask because this looks more like a 13.266 instead of a 14.266. You can't tell me this scored higher than all three Olympic medalists.

No chance. She is a beautiful gymnast but this difficulty is no where near the top finishers at the Olympics were doing. She is probably building it back up.

Russian home scoring is ridiculous.

The Silvia’s was incredible low and chest right down - would have been better to full in tucked

Beautiful double turn, but the second back handspring always scares me

She is quite elegant and overall has good form in her elements, HOWEVER, that Silivas is just not 😭 The Russian coaches need to focus more on cleaning up the E-score rather than increasing the D-score, especially considering these competitions are nowhere near important.

She has so much natural talent but wow her tumbling technique here and on vault is terrible. wish they had fixed that when she was young.

She had a growth spurt and is coming off an injury. She will get better.

When it comes to floor,no country can get close to Russia,

That difficulty would not have landed her in the top five at the Olympics. Her dance is beautiful though.
