Not surprised she developed her tumbling in this direction. When she was doing 2 twisting passes I always wondered how long they would last because the technique was really sketchy (she would corkscrew into the air and not set). This looks like a better setup for her. Maybe once she gets even stronger that 3rd pass will become a double layout.

That was overscored. I heard the score and expected a clean routine; landings were sloppy and low chest positions (even on the double tuck), her spins didn't seem controlled, and the choreography was odd (what was with the jogging sequence with the ghostbusters music??).

Simone is NEVER second to anyone in AA or floor so Listunova there or not would not have changed the result. She is not in Simone's league or even in Rebeca's since she has not competed internationally under the new COP for her to know that her scores here will not translate near as well internationally.

I’m interested to see her scores in international competition compared to Simone or Jocelyn Robertson… while Victoria obviously has better artistry… she does a double pike and a double tuck… even with higher scoring dance elements I don’t see how she could possibly outscore either if all routines were performed to the best of theirs abilities … I guess we will just have to wait until worlds to see how this plays out

Don't think the flexed feet deductions are applied, except Silivas. In reality judges don't apply this scale of flexed feet deduction, check WAG webinar. And then the deep squat is more like your personal choice of deduction.

The dance/music combo is bizarre to me. It's a gorgeous routine but flowy ballet moves to upbeat Ghostbusters rock seems discordant. I've heard of a rock opera but a rock ballet? It makes her beautiful movements seem rushed (she doesn't even have time to land properly) and while the moves do match the tempo they don't match the music at all. It's all beautifully executed though so I'm not really complaining, It's just strange.
