if you want a tip: constantly write outside your comfort zone. whether that be writing with midi or crazy editing in the daw, always write stuff that's just a little too hard to play. also try not to repeat things conventionally, play around with different permutations or pulses/feels, or even melodic context. you can make essentially anything wacky if you try hard enough

Spectacular cover. How can you tune so low with such light strings??
@StrangeSurface2 жыл бұрын
My guess is a whammy pedal. Calle and buster use them a lot to get the unique sounds.
@nicholasdavidson11912 жыл бұрын
@@StrangeSurface they use extremely thick strings on very long 6 strings. they use whammy pedals to completely change what tuning they play instantly (and they already tune extremely low), at least on newer hlb and vild. old vild was on 7 strings and they didnt use whammy from what i know
@Krisse2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's not optimal but with a proper setup you can get used to it. I don't use any whammy pedal or pitch shifters.
@Daphie_the_Duck2 жыл бұрын
@@Krisse I figured there was no pitch shifting. Anyways, I love your covers, man. Amazing job!

excellent! better than mine for sure :D how are you figuring out these tunings? every tab i find has something different.
@Krisse2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I didn't know there were even more DFL covers, good job! I use fourths tunings with dropped 7th, starting from the lowest note played on each song. Sometimes it helps to tune the 7th even lower (e.g. Coda).
@bimchlasnaga85832 жыл бұрын

Many thanks! Unfortunately I've sold my Ibanez, though I would generally recommend the ML1-7 over the 2077XL. It was a cool guitar, but the hardware and design speak to its age.
