Happy to do it but was delayed this year by the car issue. In Spring be sure to reach out if you want to do the “Villa Park Loop Pub Crawl” Ride Safe! 😎🤘🏼🍻

Thanks, Craig for your efforts. I did save this ride for next year, but it's a bit far from home for me. It's hard for me to go much further than a 1/2 hour from home. When it's one hour=2hrs driving plus the trail time. My spouse is bedridden and I'm their soal caregiver. It's always difficult to get a trustworthy babysitter. Anyways enough over share! Thanks again and keep the shiny side up 😁👍

I appreciate it your kind words! That whole area is worth checking out if you’ve never done it before. Sorry we didn’t ride this year, it’s on the top of my list in Spring! Always a good idea to keep the shiny side up! 🤣. Ride safe and stay warm! 😎🤘🏼

Need a new set of brake pads after riding through Villa Park & Lombard with all those street crossing. Done that ride with the Chicago ebike Community a couple times. My favorite tunnel that goes under Prarie Path at Taylor St. mile marker 21. There is a proposition to use the existing trussel bridge in downtown St. Charles and use the existing unused rail to get out to the west spur of the Great Western. I’m not sure how they will connect to it east of Rt.25. I sat in on a local city meeting of multiple trail extensions and reworking existing trails in St. Charles last spring. They already have re-labeled many of the streets with bright large bike lane paint. This may not be a trail you would ever ride but if you ever take your bike to Florida like I do one of my favorite rides is just off 75 in Ocala called Santos trail. Goes through Pine Forest and beautiful horse country. Yes it is a bit hilly for Florida but one of the smoothest trails I have ever been on. It’s 15 miles out and 15 back and you would be hard pressed to find a single crack in the entire path. If your a mountain biker the entire length is also available for single track through dense pines. It’s absolutely gorgeous just watch out for the Copperheads 🐍 Oops forgot to say I would definitely love to do your beer run come spring🍺

Yeah that’s the downside, lots of stop and go on those trails. I’d love a connection to the Western side of the Great Western Trail! Let me know the next time you learn of a city meeting on trails, maybe I’ll attend! I’d love to ride something in Florida! If I ever get down there I’ll make sure to check that trail out! In Spring, keep an eye out for a post or video announcing a pub crawl! 😎🤘🏼🍻
