Lazy attempt from the arsenal board… they clearly know full well villa aren’t letting Watkins leave at the end of a January transfer window when we’ve just qualified for the last 16 of the champions league… feels a lot like a bid that is purely so they can tell their fans “Well we tried”… not really fair for arsenal fans really they’ve been dying for a striker this window and this bid feels like a feeble attempt to pretend they tried their best….

Watkins 30yrs is not worth even £20m. Desperations by arsenal and Arteta should not have them b conned with inflated prices. Arsenal butler odejeni and Max dowman benched are far better than haaland but Arteta does not give them chances to play atleast 30 minutes. This is a froud

Villa knows that Arsenal must sign a striker so they're willing to push for more, they're definitely not refusing to sell Watkins as a principle. Come on, they have received 60m for both of their strikers. The two strikers just can't play along with Unai's tactics and it's not fair for both of them to accept being benched. Aston Villa also needs to sell one of them for financial reasons as they can replace him easily before the cloture of the market, they are linked with many cheap and decent strikers, while they can also loan someone like Ferguson if they're targeting a bigger fish in the summer. Duran is 23 , Watkins is 29... Arsenal which are panicking right now or any other club would never pay such price for Watkins in the future, while Duran would attract the same amount or more again and again from the PL,Saudi and from everywhere. It's obvious they'll sell Watkins, i think keeping Olie if they get 70m for him with young and explosive Duran on the bench is pure craziness, and selling Duran is simply crazier.
