Ah, yes. A new campaign. I believe it’s time to make some new logs? Resistance Council Log #253: We failed. No matter WHAT we sent after that demon Lathrix, he managed to defeat the vessel or escape. Maybe, if we’re lucky, he won’t be back. We did eventually beat him off our world.. right? However, just in case, we sent three small spacecraft to shadow the blood lord. One of them was picked off by a particle cannon tearing through it halfway into the trip to space, and another by a railgun slug simply obliterating it, however the third was able to track him to another planet. He crash-landed, ditched his now-useless vessel, and simply boarded a fortress with a tiny wooden dinghy. Of course, Lathrix and the one captain who survived the crash alongside him were more than capable of just boarding and stealing the fortress from the former Deepwater lord that controlled it. We must somehow warn this new world. Our stealth ship has only just reported back, and despite being equipped with our best warp drives it would still be another day before they reach the new world, and yet another before they’re able to execute their orders.. unless they do something rash. And by then, it may be far, far too late for some.. The Council Awaits.

The Second Neter War: It was inevitable. With the rising rebellions from the old Neter factions and the use of their new equipment and technology, a second Neter War soon erupted. Though they did their best to suppress the rebellion, the Invincible Lathrixian Fleet-due to their now obsolete technology and the overwhelming amount of enemy forces-eventually meet their fates at the bottom of the sea. The former Emperor of Neter now pushed back to into the corner and fortress where he began. But for some reason, as they say “old habits die hard”, the rebelling factions quickly turned and began warring with each other… Leaving the Lathrixian Legion alone to bide their time and rebuild the new Invincible Lathrixian Fleet. Day 1 of the Second Neter War began with the Lathrixian Legion launching an aerial assault with the 101st Tactical Air Wing equipped with the newly created Dart fighter aircraft. The 101st went into Deep Water Guard territory and manage to successfully capture a resource outpost. Another highlight of the day was when Lathrix noticed a fishing village nearby, he sent the 101st to destroy the village. The reason behind the act was to “Make the people know of his presence” and “gently remind the people of who was truly in charge.” Reassuring the 101st are fighting for a noble cause, the 101st attacked and destroyed the village, leaving nothing but the ashes of the village’s remnants to serve as a reminder of the Lathrixian Legion.

But as the first volley of missiles came, command lost visual connection with the outpost, and with a few minutes of time. It also lost radio communications. The poor buggers at the harvester didn't stand a chance... This is Onros, signing out. 08:31PM Our scouts had reported of the enemy seemingly constructing new jets, this time their armament would be bombs, strong ones at that. Some sources of ours tell of this force to be called the "Legion", but those sources are hard to believe. High command has asked us to overwork ourselves as the "Legion" approaches our shipyard... I just hope the Atlas there makes quick work of them, so we can just sleep calmly. Onros, signing out.

Torpedo bombers can be great fun to play with :D. They’re also a great entry point for building your own AI on a breadboard, as there’s something really satisfying about seeing a torpedo bomber line up with its target, dive down to just above the sea, then drop its torpedoes and peel away towards a safe distance on an evasive course. Just a heads up for playing around with Breadboards, Sin(X) function blocks with a time based input are great for setting up periodic evasive manoeuvres (see the pixy mech in the TG for an in campaign example).

I’m currently watching your old Neter Campaign, I’m on episode 14. Seeing that fortress again is such a take-back, especially from the Bloodthirster. Remember the Khorneflakes? Malal’s Will? Ammo barrels? Bloodfang? We’ll see. I think you should build a LITERAL aircraft carrier that has your aircraft landed on it, with the bombers, darts and torpedo bombers, because it’ll be fun!!

Neter diary day: 1 I have just joined the legion and am already being trained as a bomber. Lathrix has declared war earlier than I expected. The Darts have already taken a nearby resource zone. My first mission is against an Atlas and fortifications. The Atlas is already more expensive than are entire force so I'm worried. Victory has been achieved and all but the dock was captured. A true testament to are leaders skill. However 1 Penguin Bomber and 1 Dart was lost in the attempt to capture the atlas. Airman Jen signing out for now.

When you started the fight with Sinners Outpost (7:48 where I paused to type this), you had ~2826 fuel left from assumably full fuel. It's actually a solid idea to set a cruise speed with 25% thrust so the atmospheric drag isn't fighting you with everything it has, boosting fuel economy over range. I dunno if you've actually done this already, but this tip is also for other readers anyway.

The darts go to 40% currently when not in combat, honestly could lower that. But they started on less than half fuel when they left as there wasn't enough fuel to pass to them from the fortress as I rushed so much, so it wasn't all as bad as it looked! :)

A tip for you Lathrix... If you set up the resource management for the vehicle before you save its design, the settings will carry over for when you spawn it again, therefore not needing to manually set up a fleets resources every time.

I would love to see a torpedo bomber that launches a single large explosive torpedo. I love the impact that the CRAM bomber has, with one huge explosion, if you made a torp bomber with the large missile variant, you could get some of that same effect.

The problem with large missiles is that the launch pad is 4K ressource ( I think) so with all tne missile components the missile itsefl would cost the price of a dart , but I woupd rather see a B52 type bomber that builds individual nukes and drops them

Hey Lath my gaming brother 🙏🏻 epic that you've brought the game back this I think was the game that got me hooked to your channel. My idea for a ship would be a literal support and supply ship. With its ability to repair, rearm and refuel the fleet. Having a large amount of things such as flairs and anti missile weaponry would help fell the fleets enemies too. Hope this helps with some ideas 👌🏻 peace brother ✌🏻
