Sappy 2006 + Mid2Agb (Adding MIDI to GBA ROM)
mGBA (Playing the song in-game and recording the audio)

I love that it really sound like rse soundtrack. If you listen closely u recognize this swooshes and wooshes in the background wich totally sound like the old gba used to be. Absolutly amazing work!

Y’know how sometimes you don’t really notice something until someone else points it out? I never realized how often the gba would use it’s noise channel till I listened to a bunch of gba osts recently.

One question: I'm currently working on my own hack, i would like to use other game's music(crediting the authors of course) because my hack will include a lot of new things(mostly characters and a lot of Fakemon) and i thought it would be nice to use to give you an example Id(hope) from Fire Emblem with a Platinum soundfont, the problem is, how do i get the midi? I know i can import a mp3 file into anvil, however anvil won't open songs that are more than a minute long. Do you know how i could solve it? Other question: how do you change the instruments so it sounds like gen 3?

I didn't even know that Anvil could import MP3 files. I think that Fire Emblem theme you referred to comes from a 3DS game, and those don't use MIDI files for their music, so you'll likely have to create the MIDI yourself or see if anyone has created one on a MIDI sharing website. As for the gen 3 instruments, there are two methods I have used. You can insert your MIDI into a gen 3 ROM and record it in-game, or you can use a program like SynthFont2 to play the MIDI with a gen 3 soundfont. The former gives the most authentic GBA sound, but the soundfont program method is far easier to work with. P.S. I don't know how to insert music into any DS games, but the soundfont program method works for both GBA and DS soundfonts

@@MezmerKaiser725 ok i didn't even remember this comment and i also didn't expect you to answer. So, i think i didn't expressed my problem well, so sorry if i confused you. So, my problem is that most of the music i'm planning to use(except for some fire emblem tracks) don't even use midis as you said, however, i have watched videos of people like lishena who converted the Hoartfroast Reach, a ps4/Xbone/pc theme, into the R/S/E soundfont and i want to do something similar but with the platinum soundfont, since the tracks i'll insert will be on platinum soundfont. So, what i actually wanted to ask is if there is a way to turn either mp3 or wav files to midi, or if anyone has a clue of how lishena did it. I really like your remixes btw, i'm a BIG FAN of your route 10 remix.

@@roymain8090 i don't know if you ever figured it out but if i'm understanding you correctly, you can't turn a mp3 into a midi, you would need to recreate the track as a midi and then you can throw any samples or soundfonts onto it
