It's so fascinating to see how the people are most comfortable sitting on the floor, they're happy and without worries. They're laid-back. It's also very affordable to live in that village, you don't have to spend a lot of money on groceries, etc. Where I live, we spend a ton of money on food and drink, rent, and so many other things. People are worried about keeping their jobs to maintain a good life.

@@Samizouza I'd love to experience that kind of lifestyle, it's perfect. I don't want to have to always spend 20 hours of the day making money to make ends meet every week. It's exhausting.

bula...Bele [island cabbage]..they grow pretty fast in the tropics. Lots of good vitamins and taste great any way you prepare it..take care..miss da island life

Bele is my favourite green vege 😩 there's 3 foods I miss the most and haven't eaten in 30yrs: 1) Bele 2) lumi & 3) nama. Oh my life, this video got me emotional! It's called aibika in PNG. There's different variety. We don't usually cut the leaves into pieces but creamed the actual leaf with coconut cream with the other vegies - cassava, taro, yam and banana for cooking. I must say, the cooking of the aibika in the Fijian style, looks delicious. I'll have to try cooking the bele the Fijian way😊

I just had dinner and this vlog just made me hungry again.😂Bele looks yummy. Maybe do a Q&A with mum on what life was like in the village before she left and how it is now,sea level rise, modernisation etc. Just a thought. Another awesome video.💯✔

I love lau pele aka slippery cabbage or edible sunset hibiscus. It's very nutritional and good for health purposes. There's different types as well like the red stem ones are specifically used for stir-fry cooking. They are easy to grow as well nice one Ura 🌱💚🌱 Your mum looks young 🙂

Here in the Solomons you'll find the boiled in Coconut milk version in every household. A must when we do our version of the Lovo as well(called 'Motu'), ...with coconut milk of course 😂

It's one kind of spinach, what they call here in ozie..but back home we call it bele,good to go with fry fish,lolo(coconut creme) top it with onions,tomatoes and slice ginger...wow! wow! that's really make my day,back home in the paradise Island 🏝 FIJI 🇫🇯
