Here are the Fijians clearly declaring that their ancestors came from Africa thousands of years ago, by ship. This establishes two facts. The first is that these are our people, and they're Africans by descent. Some people keep pushing the false narrative that these people have nothing to do with Africa. Secondly, the fact that Africans travelled to this island by ship thousands of years ago, tells us that Africans have been sailing the seas for centuries. Also notice that the distance between Africa and Fiji Islands is about 9,000 miles. The distance between West Africa and North America is about 4000 miles. So if Africans could sail 9000 miles to Fiji Islands, means they could've also sailed to the Americas, which is a shorter distance by comparison. Thanks brother for this great video.

@@rednovember266 ...That don't count as it's subject to manipulation. For instance the Boers of South Africa claim that the Khoisan people in South Africa's genetic makeup shows that they're more European (white) than (black) African. Black Egyptians living in America are classified as white. Well, I would rather listen to the Fijians themselves as they're the custodians of their own history. How do you force a history upon a people that are telling you otherwise?

Dig deeper into fijians tradition and historical facts and you'll see.For example,The elder brother serves the younger brother. The younger brother is the king whereas the elder brother is his servicemen. The elder brother holds the real power because he's the commander of the army (warrior caste)and sees that standard operation procedure are followed by the people and chiefs. The chiefs are not immune , they can be replaced by the elder brother not with votes but by force of arms,SOP applies here. The kingship is the the other way around (reverse),if the elder is the king who can reprimand him when his at fault This people are Israelites. If you dig deeper you'll find evidence, for example if you go to the west of fiji, there is a village that has an old flag called the number 12.If you go further inland you'll find 12 pillars in a circle and ancient writings on caves. The fijian are structured in the way they live. This are the structures, they have clans with specific roles such as builders(mataisau),fisherman (tunidau),priesthood (bete)and so on.please dig deeper and you'll find.

Unfortunate, many old age people wull be not there but at least they will be able to be there physically and compare the culture. Tanzania is a peaceful country and they can come as tourists through companies so that they can secure a guide.

Never mind those "trolls" and hypocrites that are claiming something else, their agenda is well known. Funny isn't it that the very first people on the face of the Earth and the longest before anyone else are being told that others told us where we came from, or that they were here before us. Okay, so basically, Fijians, Solomon Islanders, and other Melanesians are a recently diverged group who sailed out of Papua New Guinea around maybe 3kya. So papuans, were one group with Australian aboriginals until the landmass separated, but where did this group come from. We can see who are the closest related groups to papuans using an online search. ‘The genetic makeup of Papuans is primarily derived from Ancient East Eurasians, which relates them to other mainland Asian groups such as the "AASI", Andamanese, as well as East/Southeast Asians’ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_people_of_New_Guinea#:~:text=The%20genetic%20makeup%20of%20Papuans,2%25%2C%20next%20to%20additional%20archaic. For those who do not know, AASI are the Ancient Ancestral South Indian people, which make up about 1/3 to half of most indian DNA today and in some populations higher. So they say they are related to other south-east asian groups. Let’s now fit the puzzle. So the negrito group of Phillipines, the Aeta, have very similar DNA to papuans theculturetrip.com/asia/philippines/articles/the-aeta-the-first-philippine-people#:~:text=According%20to%20historians%2C%20the%20Aetas,and%20Melanesians%20of%20Solomon%20Islands. So this link says, ‘they're of the same group as those of Aborigines in Australia and Melanesians of Solomon Islands.’ It also says they have affinities to other southeast-asian groups such as the Orang asli. Now who are the Orang asli, and where are there origins, let’s search this up, go on. Malaysian genetic experts ‘Genetic studies date Malaysia's Orang Asli back to India somewhere between 42,000 to 63,000 years ago’. theculturetrip.com/asia/malaysia/articles/the-history-of-malaysias-orang-asli-people#:~:text=Genetic%20studies%20date%20Malaysia's%20Orang,People'%2C%20Malaysia's%20oldest%20inhabitants. So yes, we can state that an ancient population moved out of india, into south-east Asia, Papua and Australia, and into the Melanesian islands. So you will probably be wondering how come indians don’t look like them. Well they do, you see alot of indians can be very dark, with broad noses. However, one thing about india is that it is also home to another native population, around 50,000 years ago called the ANI. Both the AASI and ANI mixed to create modern indians. Almost all indians have this mixture, even the tribal areas, but tribal areas have more proportion of AASI. That is why the population of india is so large, because it is the home to the oldest populations. Side note: you guys just listen to the propaganda of Bollywood, which is just run by Arab men, if you see real South Indian movies like Pushpa: the rise, you will see so many Melanesian looking actors because they portray another side of india.

even the fijian language is different from the African language. Instead we have similar words and meaning with Asians. My cousin, a soldier in the Fiji army went to East Timor for peacekeeping and he said that the words we use for counting numbers sound alike. even the words for coconut, cassava and taro were the same. i also had a Filipino lecturer and she said that she could understand what we Fijian boys were saying. so we are more Asian than African, i guess. also, one of my uncle a soldier(SAS) went there. and there task was to capture a local rebel leader. the rest of his platoon were white. When the rebel leader heard that one Fijian were among them, this rebel leader gave himself in to them. When questioned by my uncle, he said that Fijians used to live there before they left, and the Fijians are their chiefs and they were the servants to Fijians.

Fijians, Solomon Islanders, and other Melanesians are a recently diverged group who sailed out of Papua New Guinea around maybe 3kya.

No need to create narratives not backed up by peer reviewed research. Black people have been migrating out of Africa for way over 100,000. There were various waves over long periods of time. Populating much of the entire planet during this time. DNA evidence has already shown a connection between groups of native Americans in South America and Australian aborigines. Black populations traverse far and wide. Fiji is just one of countless places they settled to. So to narrow it down to just one migration and one landing is a stretch not based on existing history and genetic evidence. Our people did extraordinary things, no need to embellish. We are all ONE!!!

Christianity arrived into Fiji in the early 1830's. That was how we adopted Christianity. First wave of Christians from the London Missionary society tried, but the later wave that took our country by storm. It was a move that people cannot explain. Chiefs converted into Christianity and the propensity of Christinity became a new thing that transformed our tiny nation. War clubs plummet and people started converting resulting to thr widely adoption of Christianity.

Black skin, broad nose, and fuller lips aren’t exclusive to sub Saharan Africans. There are indigenous black people in Asia, such as in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines with very similar features. Same in Oceanian countries such as in Australia and in Fiji. You can specifically look up the people of the Sentinel Islands, Andaman Islands, Aboriginals of Australia, and the Negritos of the Philippines. Yes their phenotype are black however their DNA/genotype ARE NOT African. Black doesn’t always mean from Africa. I’m not sure where this elder is getting this info from, but from the anthropological research I’ve done, Fijians and Sub-Saharan Africans have completely different DNA from each other. You can easily find this info on Google.

Hi its called kava. It's not alcoholic. It comes from a kava plant. Its dried than grounded up in a cloth and dipped in a bowel of water until the water looks muddy water than drunk. All over Fiji and Polynesia and parts of Meleanesia they drink this. When I go back to Fiji to my village we drink this.

For your information my friend , Fijians don't have roots in Africa. DNA and it's language points to Taiwan. Fijians use the Tagalog vowels when they speak. It's origins trace back to Asia namely Taiwan. This vowels is strongly used in Japan as well. The Tagalog vowels which is also used across the Polynesia archipelago is (A,E,I,O,U) which for a start does not exist in any part of Africa. Secondly , our DNA which is the ultimate proof shows no direct link to Africa but Asia and the South Pacific and in most cases , Amazon. If there was any DNA link , then it would probably be a one off night stand type thing. People in Fiji are not well informed of this issue because they rely on hear say stories over kava or similar type setting and make decisions based on similar vowel sounds as suggested with the "Tanganyika" fib where in our language, it's pronounced " Tagani-ika).Two separate words describing fish in a sack and not one straight word which would have sound Taqanika (Notice the "Q" in this spelling) as oppose to the above from Africa. Our DNA points to Asia where our numbers are so similar to that of Taiwan , Filipinas , down to Indonesia. None of it exist in any part of Africa. Our double decked canoes in the past use to carry more than 3000 men and women. Their features probably changed somewhere between Indonesia and Melanesia. Though Fijians look like Melanesian's,( Dark Skinned ) their culture and language are that of Polynesia.(Lighter Skinned) Melanesians don't have chiefly systems and protocols as those in Polynesia like The Kingdom Tonga for an example. Melanesia just have like some sort of a headman's of its group similar to a chief but that's all there is to it, A chief. Watching this video makes me sad because of the mis information these market vendors are carrying around as if it's true when It's not. That tour guide lady was totally oblivious to the potential damage she could be causing us Fijians to the outside world. Govt needs to put laws in place to control those type's of promotions where an inexperienced individual is involved. I am saying this from a sincere heart who has business interest in Fiji as well. I have shown this video to friends and so far one even responded with disgust and said that lady doesn't even know the Fintel building but she knows how to rot a tourist. On the same token, your video is the first where I've seen someone mention the term 'Black" Fijians. It's usually Melanesians or Polynesians. We weren't slaves in history but fierce warriors who established itself in Fiji some thousand years back and which was called" Fisi" by the Tongans or "Viti" in Fijian. These three countries are related one way or the other, Samoa, Tonga and Fiji. I hope this should shed some light as who we truly we are as Fijians. Have nothing against Africans either but rather not allow people carrying on fib hear say stories where it has become somewhat real to those market vendors. Goodness knows how far those stories have gone. Please stick to the DNA and vowels theory as proof, that's all. Peace. Here's one proof of many kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6mZYWZ3i9Jmiqc This vuda narrative didn't exist in the 80's during the reign of Tui Vuda and it's existence or importance wasn't upheld to mark as some sort of remembrance day event to connect him and his family to Africa, Binaka er? Here have baiyas chaisa..and reminisce on Windsor castle with your back to them.. Highest order...kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6mZYWZ3i9Jmiqc . Tui Vudas death should have been noted in Taqanika where relos live in hmmmmm.... Lake Taqanika ,( Taqari). DNA vs Hear say. Death of Tui Nayau , Lau ,Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara had chiefly relatives from Tonga and Samoa present at his funeral. This is real and not hear say .

@@ottohodd The origins of the indigenous people in Fiji is Africa, and more specifically Tanganyika, this is still taught as fact in Fijian schools. There are many different Fijian legends that have been told by the Fijian elders which tell of the origin of the Fijians, Some say Fijians came from South Africa, some say Egypt but the most widely known traditional legend traces the descent of the Fijian people through some ten generations to one canoe and one voyage. The canoe was the Kaunitoni and it carried the great chiefs Lutunasobasoba and Degei who led their people across the seas to Fiji. The people were said to have come from Thebes and traveled up the Nile to Tanganyika, eventually migrating from Africa to Fiji in 500 BC

All black people world wide were told they were African. Most indigenous people world wide, including the Pacific didn't agree. The only exception was so called black Americans and Caribbeans. Black Americans have always said they were indigenous American Indians. Most black Americans mother, grandmother was Indian. The history of the Caribbean is exactly the same. For some redo Africans regurgitate why tea European pseudo talking points and pseudo history. Yes a small % of blacks from the Americas have an African ancestry.
