Village Mapping as a Participatory Action Research method

Asking your PAR-participants to draw a village map is a great way to get to know the area where your PAR takes place. It also helps greatly in opening up the dialogue about the challenges and assets in the area from the perspective of locals and to get a sense of the community's goals. Get inspired and use a variation that fits your PAR!
