Oh my goodness - that looks so yummy! I could smell the garlic and ginger as it was being ground in the mortar. Just one question - what type of noodles did she use, or does it matter what kind? We use the white part as a seperate dish to go with rice. We slice it, add chille flakes, salt and other powdered sri lankan seasoning and temper it with little oil. We use the green part of the leaf for noodles and fried rice.
