I lived in the Netherlands for a few years and used to work nights stripping out ships of the valuable electronic systems, on the way to the car park after work there was a bakery where I bought fresh bread and croissants most mornings along with a strong coffee, they were awesome and still warm!

Did you notice the little boy take one of the small pancakes, as Dad was talking and Mum was filming, and give it to the baby that was off-screen? 12:55 He's probably just learnt to count to 20, so it's his favourite number. From Yorkshire UK

There are cooks making the hot foods at the back in the kitchen behind the machines, then they put them into the machine and customers can choose whatever they want. Japan has this system also.

Well, i'm Dutch. What i just saw in this video was an insult.. How is this a Dutch food tour? They just ate fast food, snacks and deserts.. How to say you're American without saying you're American? You call places where they serve fast food a restaurant. We have a separate name for it, snack bar. A restaurant serves actual food. Also, you can't get more stereotypical as an American.. just eat the greasy stuff. So let me get this straight, you live in a country where most things are unhealthy, full of sugar and fried.. then you visit other countries and.. eat the same? Might as well stay home. Going to Amsterdam as well.. what a shocker.
@RD-dt7us5 ай бұрын
What else were they gonna eat? The "traditional" Dutch dish is mashed potatoes with mashed vegetables and smoked sausage. We're not exactly known for our stellar kitchen. Or split pea soup. Or mussels. Or raw herring with diced onion. And pretty much all tourists either hate that or pretend to hate it for the video. And all other things are snack foods as well. Poffertjes, stroopwafels, frikandel, bitterbal, Dutch liquorice (which they also would've hated). Maybe some cheese, but that's not a meal.

Those FEBO kiosks are reminiscent of the Horn and Hardart automats that used to be so popular in New York City.

Would be curious how Babu's ment tea and fried cheese might come out... Dutch cuisine is definitely... a bit under the radar. Interesting to get a deeper look into it. I think Austria could be a good choice for a next stop.
@astas73644 ай бұрын
I would love if Babu and the other villagers would react to a video of northern Germany. There is a video called "meet the Germans: road trip - Part 1 Northern Germany" here on KZbin. The reaction would be fun because there is a part of northern Germany where they drink more tea than in India or Great Britain and a German tea ceremony is explained. I am sure this is something that would be interesting to see and compare Indian traditions with.

I think the woman gave the truffelmayo a 10/10 because she heard the word truffel thinking it's some kind of luxary sauce. I will honestly say it taste exactly like normal mayonaise but with less flavor.

I'm hoping your future travels will bring you to Europe! My favourite European food is Italian but I also think Scottish food is underrated. We also have so many Indian restaurants here in the UK, it would be good to see what you think of our Indian food!

I'd love for them to actually try these food items. Looking at them doesn't do them any justice. Most Dutch food does not look at all appealing, but most of it is pretty darn good imho. Though as someone who lives in the country I am pretty biased, I suppose

Hi, my name is Steve and this has nothing to do with the video but if you are allowed to show music videos there is an Indian rapper named Hanumankind who is very popular in America right now. His popular song is called Big Dawgs.I think that they would enjoy it.Thank you and if you can't show it maybe let them watch it away from the channel.

my favourite dutch food that stayed behind in our culture is pannekoek... they are thin crepes sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon... Easy to make and a real comfort food.
@mellchiril5 ай бұрын
sugar and cinnamon? You're limiting yourself. I've lived in my Netherlands my entire life and really don't think sugar and cinnamon are the standard. Sounds good, I'd love to try it, but I'd go kaas en spek over sugar cinnamon personally haha.

@@mellchiril wow, bacon and cheese sounds different... Over here cinnamon and sugar is a standard... many large supermarkets have a counter near the door where people make them for you on demand.. Also big at church and shool basaars.

Wrong video for them. These were 2 spoiled Americans who don't know anything about Dutch food. Let them see the real food of my country please.
@AnaryaVhargon5 ай бұрын
Yeah, they eat the normal "tourist fast food things ALL the youtubers and tiktokkers eat"... We have better and healthier stuff then that. Yes, the Netherlands isn't know for it's haute cuisine but we DO have better stuff then this. The last 20 or so years we got good restaurants who serve for instance our famous "stamppot" BUT, in a new modern coat [recipe] with different vegetables then just the kale, endive or carrot/onion ones. But this fast food crap... yeah... all of them make video's about it, very annoying.
@RD-dt7us5 ай бұрын
All right. Name a bunch of traditional Dutch foods that aren't stamppot or snack foods. No fusion stuff or things like Surinamese cuisine either. Just all-Dutch food that represents the Netherlands. Let's see how deep we have to scrape the barrel :)
@AnaryaVhargon5 ай бұрын
@@RD-dt7us what about Hachee, rode kool met appeltjes, bruine bonen met spekjes en augurk, spruitjes met spek en ui, draadjesvlees, Gerstenpap met stroop, rijstepap ... moet ik nog even doorgaan?
@RD-dt7us5 ай бұрын
@@AnaryaVhargon Kinda proved my point there. Nearly all those are considered as Belgian as they are Dutch. And the rest are mundane things you can get anywhere. Brussels sprouts with bacon? Rice porridge? Oatmeal? Brown beans? Oh yes, sign me up as a tourist who wants something delicious on my holiday I can't get anywhere else. You'd be hard pressed to find even a Dutch person eating most of those nowadays. There's plenty of cool stuff about the Netherlands. But you won't find many Dutch people claiming they're known for their delicious traditional cuisine.

It sucks that this channel has never valued its cast or its loyal fans. Also, none of that copyright stuff would have happened if permission had been obtained first. Reed Timmer risked his life for those videos, they are his financial security after years of schooling and hard work. You wanted him to look like a bully instead of taking responsibility yourself! The hurt in the eyes of the cast members under your responsibility… It all boils down to a lack of respect and greed.
