I did ballet for 5 years when I was little, I love their reactions to this beautiful art form and their recognition of how many years of work go into dancing like that! I would have gone on pointe, my 5 years was finally enough for my teacher to let me. I moved though and didn’t find another studio I liked. But they have absolutely been dancing since they were little, Nutcracker is a very challenging show.

This is a new KZbin feature. I heard their real, usual voices in Hindi all the time and at first didn't even know what you were talking about, until I saw on the settings (gear icon) that this video also has an English audio track. My native language is neither, so KZbin presented me with the original Hindi audio. If yours is English, it may have automatically selected the English track, but you can listen to the original audio by choosing Hindi on the settings.

To take the AI voice off go into settings - audio track and select - Hindi original. Also, although the ballet shown was from America and danced beautifully ballet as an art form originated in Europe and the Nutcracker specifically from Russia. The Nutcracker ballet was based on a German story by ETA Hoffman, the music composed by Russian Tchaikovski, and the dance choreographed by Russians Petitpa and Ivanov, first performed in 1892. I highly highly recommend watching Nina Kaptsova dancing the Sugarplum fairy from the Nutcracker - as a massive ballet fan it's one of the best ballet performances I've ever seen 🤍❄

The new KZbin update inflicted English AI voice over is so atrocious. Its better to go to settings (the wheel logo on the video) click and select Audio Track and then select 'Hindi Original' to hear the video as is in their own voices. KZbin needs to remove this terribly disruptive update of AI voices.

@@greghamann2099, I have seen this on other channels, and one of them gave an explanation (that other channel is directed to a non-English-speaking audience, and they received complaints that the channel was now "dubbed" in English, which the viewers couldn't understand). This is an initiative by Google (KZbin's owner), and it seems that they have selected some channels as a pilot for this new experimental feature, but didn't publicize it, explain it, or give the channel owners a way of opting out. So, the channel owners are not to blame, and it would be highly unfair if you unsubscribed because of this.

I worked for Boston Ballet in the 90s. We have the most watched Nutcracker in the world. I would see the babies leaving in the late afternoon to go home after training' They start young and finish at 30. Some dance till their feet bleed in the shoes. It is a thing that you must really want to do and is not easy at all. Discipline is so key! To work there you had to go see the shows so you knew what you were talking about, but it was for free. I cheated and gave some tickets away but just once.

For those that keep complaining about audio, here's a quick fix: Go to Settings → Select Audio Track → Choose 'Hindi Original Audio.' It seems like this feature might be a KZbin experiment rather than something controlled by the channel.

First of all, lots of thanks to the commenter below, who figured out, that the terrible AI voice over is an automatic fvcked vp KZbin setting and can be deactivated! Second, lots of thanks for this great idea of a react to an absolute classic of Western art (which I admit have never seen myself) and certainly quite a new way of storytelling for the two. Third, thanks to the guys for that comparison to an art form they are familiar with and in that way granting another look into their culture as well. What might be next? A reaction to a musical, maybe? 😆 Not a musical fan though, but that could still be interesting. My vote would be for West Side Story or Grease 😉

The nutcracker is a Christmas tradition in New York as dance schools come together and create a show. Unfortunately not in Florida our tradition is the lighting the star on orange avenue, the Disney holiday festivities, the sea of trees at sea world, and Grinchmas at Universal. During new year’s we get the orange drop which is our take on the New York City ball drop. Just it’s a ball lit like an orange. Disney has the candlelight processional where celebrities tell the story of Jesus’ birth and the three wise men. You never know what you’ll get as some make it kinda funny others make it serious, but it’s a good story and choirs sing.
