I know, right? The lady flutist was both absolutely engaged and enthralled by the whole thing. If so much comes through in video, I can only imagine what it must feel like to be next to Conor while the sweetest sounds of Neptune emerge from him AND to be part of the performance.

If I find Villagers.. ..and he doesn't play 'Becoming A Jackal'.. ..I can't help but feel like I've done something wrong. It's okay tho', because everything else Villagers do is like a balm on my desperate, misguided misgiving. After, when I raise my head.. ..I realise again that I'm safe.. ..on the other side of it. On the other side.. ..back to waiting.. ..waiting 'til I hear 'Becoming A Jackal' again.

Get out of my brain! I was thinking about this a propos how Conor's boyishness all but vanished when he grew out his beard (just stating a fact, not making a judgement). And then I started to notice how all but one or two of the men on stage had beards.
