this song fits childe so well since the song is essentially talking about how the world (teyvat) is separated into black and white, and we the player, are supposed to think that the archons and knights of favonius are good and the abyss and fatui are bad, but childe brings another perspective. he’s sort of a grey character in all of this and after we find out about lumine and the gods in khaenriah, it’s not so clear who is ‘good’ and who is ‘bad’. also fantastic job on the video! the animation during the fight is so beautiful and i love everything about it! edit: my friend just told me a diluc quote which makes the drawings of the coins in the animatic hold so much more meaning, i'm so shocked LOL "As the saying goes, heroes and villains are two sides of the same coin." - Master Diluc

I have literally shivers running down my spine!!! This was so good!!!! Honestly this is such a good song to show parallels between Aether and Childe. Aether, whose new to the world of teyvat pretty much sees the world in black (the abyss and Fatui) and white (archons, the knights and Qixing)- of course he starts questioning everything after meeting his sister but that’s besides the point. Then there’s Childe, he’s seen the worst the world could throw at him (the abyss) and the best (his siblings), and he knows he’s on an side many view as the enemy but despite being part of the fatui, he’s arguably one of the most honourable characters in the game. Both are views as hero’s to one side and villains to the other, but at the end of the days it’s not as black and white as it seems! Awesome animatic! Now I’m off to rewatch it loll

This is one of the reasons Tartaglia is my favorite character. He has so much room for development, and he’s already so developed and interesting. He’s one of the few in the story so far to be a real grey. Even in the story quests and his character quest, I kept thinking to myself “I have to be him, because he’s a harbinger, and a threat, but really, he’s not a bad person when he’s able to keep himself together” he’s just a normal person who’s life was thrown to the wind after ending up in the abyss. Now he’s just trying to survive and protect those he loves in this cruel world he calls home.

This is an amazing interpretation of Childe's character. I'M IN LOVE! Even in the actual game, he admits to be a bad guy the moment we meet him. He prioritized the will of the Tsaritsa over anything else, yet despite him being a "villain", he is not evil.

After we meet our twin and find out their leading the abyss and that theyve encountered this world in bad light, and then childes point of view, our black and white views cant be so easily distinguished. everything is blurred and you cant quite tell whose good whose bad ect.

We're all villains and we're all heroes, it's just a matter of perspective. This is why we have to be slightly "selfish" when making decisions, if you always focus on being the "good guy", you're not gonna go anywhere in life. You see this with quite a few anime protagonist actually, always obsessed with peace and doind the "right" thing without hurting anyone. But in reality, it's impossible to always be good, and beleiving you can is just blatantly stupid. I like Childe for this, the game is clearly trying to portray him as the "bad guy" but at the same time, you see a good side of him, showing that a person's actions are not necessarily representative of their nature.

I love the song and the vid is great! I feel bad for childe having to admit himself to be the bad guy despite the challenges he has been through. He has faced way more than the traveler has despite them travelling from world to world. I can tell that childe hasn’t only lost one sibling or person in his life, making him more cautious about being a fatui harbinger to protect the left over of his loved ones. And he isn’t necessarily the “bad guy” in genshin cause now that the Inazuma region has been released, we find out that people there have it quite bad because of the current electro archon also know as the raiden shogun taking away peoples visions so some of us might consider her bad too. The traveler isn’t necessarily good either, mainly because they is sooner or later turn on teyvat and leave their world leaving them with only the memory of them. In this case, childe may also find it hard to let go of them and count it as a loss meaning that he failed to protect them. This is just what I think.. sorry if there were any mistakes anyway…. My first time writing a rather lengthy comment hope it was fine ;w;.
