Well, personally, imho, I don't think he's a good person at all. Sure, he seems benevolent and nice to those on his side and to bystanders, but here's just your friendly reminder, that Cale has zero inhibitions whatsoever to kill, to torture, to manipulate and to scam. He is pretty much pure evil to his enemies. And yes, that is precisely how war works, and it is exactly what is necessary for the situation he's in. He doesn't have the leeway to choose his ways. That's why I think he's morally grey. And that's why this song fits so well. (And yes, I'm also (kinda) up to date on the novel (got to around ch 100 on part 2) so I do know what I'm talking about)
