Agree that villain won by a landslide but Dudz’s pitch accuracy with the polyphonic stuff was pretty spot on (at 10:40 for example). maybe you reacted negatively because you didn’t appreciate the note choice, but it’s unfair to say that the pitches were off

Thats what i mean. When it comes to vocal transition, sometimes the right pitch does not mean it is the suitable pitch. I say wrong pitch because that pitch was not suitable for the beat

@@stitch_mus1c well no, the pitches are very well suited for the beat. he set up a chord structure (Dmin - Gmin - Fmaj - Edim) throughout the beginning of the tune and during the polyphonic section he hits Gs over the Dmin and Gmin chords (10:40) and then does an A to Bb chromatic thing over the Fmaj and Edim (10:44) which fits beautifully and reinforces the chord structure. I'm only pushing back here because I think the fact that all of his sounds actually are in key is the most impressive thing about this routine and it seems like you're not hearing what i'm hearing lol

@@TheSwiggitySwooty like i said. Right pitch does not mean its the most suitable pitch. Keep it mind, u can't really use notes when it comes to beatboxing (thats how i feel pwrsonally). Why? Because each sound is an intrument on its own. Each sound has its own frequency, tightness etc. So although the pitch might be correct, it would still not hit right because of the different frequencies. If it was fully vocal, like just his voice then it would have been perfect. However, he used 2 different sounds with 2 different frequencies. (vocal and poly). His poly has a tightness that is very similar to two-h's. Which wasn't suitable for that specific for that beat unless he used a different pitch. I heard what you heard, and yeah he hit the right pitch, but it wasn't the most suitable one

I found the battle close until I ranked it with the judging system. When I listened to it Villain was my winner with Dudz being sort of close. And when i ranked it, Villain was ahead of dudz by 30+ points
