I'm not making this up... when inflation really got out of control and the cost of eggs skyrocketed, MSDNC ran a bunch of stories about how not having money for food is good because of America's obesity problem. They didn't quite phrase it that way, of course. But still edit: And if you think that's bad, they did a story about how not having enough money to buy presents for Christmas is a good thing because Christmas is really all about family. They seriously did that story!!!!

Just because something is good for the economy doesn't mean it's given carte blanche. Trade with China is a perfect example. There are other issues, just as important, that need to be considered.

We never said that. You're completely glossing over the tons of nuance. They need to follow the law but we should also have help available for them to navigate the process no matter their reason for doing, whether it's seeking asylum or the more conventional route that can take years. Do we have the resources available? We don’t have enough housing and the average immigrant worker lives in terrible conditions. Not every immigrant has good intentions like some people want you to believe. Some leaders paint that old “they’re searching for a new life” they’re doing the same things they were before. One of my parents was an immigrant now naturalized and I’ve witnessed for myself the fact we welcome with open arms a lot more than just a few bad apples. I believe people would be more tolerant of immigration when have a true zero tolerance on crimes (not talking about forgetting to use turn signal)being committed against our people here and not needing to compete so hard for basic necessities that the law can punish people for not having.

People have to be here legally and people need to be educated on what legally means. Definitely should never be wide open borders and nothing enforced. With that said some folks who have been here many years well known, verified, not a criminal and never would be, speak English perfect or very well, and only identify being in America their home country should Not ever be deported for any small red tape reason that's not a reason.

Using the ‘economy’ is a very poor argument for high rates of migration. As the far right would the same point for lassez-fair and no social programs. The Swiss, the Swedes and others have studied migration and they have found net benefit/corelation to economic security and immigration.
