I think if Eric is dropped, his confidence level will drop even more by 400%. He deserves a second chance more than MATS. Since we need to rotate and give Cubarsi rest, we could see Eric start at the back with Inigo or will be subbed in later on in second half. I also think that Raphinha should start as CAM and Pau Victor start on the left wing. Later on Lewa can be taken off, bring Victor to center and Fati on the left.

Villareal will put pressure on us, high up the pitch. Thus we need midfielders who are positionally aware, and Eric isn't there yet in my opinion. Although I think he has it in him. Casado and Pedri are great under pressure, so personally I'd keep them as DMs and put Torre as the 10. But let's see with Eric, I might be wrong.

Really appreciate the preview, I'm aligned for the most part......Not sure if starting Eric is a good idea, he also makes me nervous....but hope he puts in a good shift if he starts as we need to have a good game against Villarreal....Barca has a decent record against the team which is a positive.....MATS has been a good servant of the club over the years and he will be a key ingredient if Barca to cook up success this season.....Can't afford those errors in the UCL especially and last year we saw that......Having said all of that, not sure Barca can afford to wait until season-end to rectify a GK situation......MATS must get his act together!
