Ville Larinto crash @ Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2011

He was so close to a real break trough. So close. Instead he fell and injured himself. He he has not come back to this level ever since. He really represented the future for finnish ski jump and If it wouldn't have been for this, maybe he could have been on the podium in the Sotji Olympics.

what a bad luck, Finland's situation could be completely different now with Harri Ollie (if he came back somehow), Ville Larinto, Janne Happoen and Koivuranta

Tohon aikaan oli hetken aika nautinnollista ja samalla tuskallista katsella mäkihyppyä kun suomalaisilla oli pitkästä aikaa niin laaja rintama, mutta sitten se kaikki hajos käsiin. Ahonen tuuliviireili jatkon kanssa, Hautamäki - Larinto - Happonen - Olli - Koivuranta olis ollut niin paljon potentiaalia, mutta joutuivat tai päättivät kaikki lopettaa. Sitten tulikin melkoinen tyhjiö joka jatkuu edelleen.

He probably will be back in this season in March. It's not sure yet but if everything goes well he will :) He is really talented ski jumper, hope he will success!

Specially a pity since it was by far the best jump of the day.. :( hope he's fine to keep on challenging for the season title, he's top material.
