Your dad loves you. He is just a typical OG. He say things to make you change your mind even though it's harsh words. Don't think that he didn't love you. It seems like he loves you more than your siblings. He just say words that he didn't mean it because he was angry at your choices. My dad was like that too.

He raised you as his own loved you supported you and probably placed all his hopes and dreams on you but when you married outside of race, he felt you betrayed him so he hurt you on purpose to see if you would crawl back to him. At least he admitted his mistakes at last. Such a sad story but yet I am happy that you found true love and peace.

Your dad loves you, a father that works a regular job and farm outside to send you to medical school loves you. You disappointed him so much to the point it broke his heart. He's a typical older generation guy that is why he disown you. Even if you are his biological child he'll do the same. One day when your child disappoint you, you will understand where your dad was coming from. You are the one child that he loves the most, do you know why because he waited to see you before taking his last breath. You are a mother now, you will understand him one day. I know that he truly loves you.

What a great story you’ve shared sister. Our heartbreak when our parents cut us off. We take it to heart and we can do as they say. They just don’t think we can be that strong but we are. You’ve shared the heartache you felt when your father cast you off for not approving of your husband. You stood your ground, chose the person you love, achieved everything you desired and he should be happy for you. In the end he was. He just had too much pride to show it. You did well sister. Let go of the heartache. You can’t control what others think of you.

Bc of him pushing you to study hard, you’re you today. Be thankful. Don’t dwell on his vented anger at you. After all his love for you is not fake. Sister aws!!! I am crying with you by listening to your story about your father’s disowned you because you decided to married to the person who loved you and you loved him other than your own race. Your father was a traditional hmoob man had a heart of prejudice without definition of what loves all about for other’s!. Hmong peoples still have a prejudices mind as well as narrow minded within their heart, however they don’t realized that no matter who their son or daughter choose to marry to was by heart not the race. Hmong peoples now a day marriage are the worst than other race because too! many adultery committed most the man. I am super proud of you for chooses your mate by the heart, may God continue to blessing you & your husband for a life long of happiness!!

I'm sure your father loves you very much. He waited for you. Some hmomg people have a backward way of loving you. They try to apply tough love and they like to hit you where it hurts to make you turn back to them. It's poor communication and lack of emotional intelligence that causes so much heart ache. He should be more open minded about your husband, but he's an OG with a mindset of 1975. You should be more greatful.
