I just got a job at a community college that will be 90% live stream using Vimeo and this was very helpful. However, I'm still a bit confused of how Live Stream Studio software is setup to be used with Vimeo when using multi cameras.

Regarding simulcasting to FB Live, if I am using a persistent key on FB, do I still need to navigate to FB and click Go Live? If I schedule a live stream will it just start once it receives streaming info? What’s the simplest way to start streaming also to Facebook? Thx.

No this handles it automatically and starts it directly once a signal is sent to vimeo. We do it this way every Sunday

@@AJaytheCEO Just to clarify, does this have to be scheduled previously in FB Live (along with a persistent key)? Maybe I’m answering my own question here as I think about it... because you have to create an event to get the key in the first place; so the event is already made, and since you have that key, it will just start ‘broadcasting’ anytime it gets data coming to them with that key. Is that accurate? (But if you created the event for a certain day/time, maybe that WON’T work?? I’m confused and googling it seems to just bring up basic info on how to go live in facebook). Thanks for your input on this.

Thanks for a clear demo on Vimeo! What our church is trying to learn how to do is to be able to shoot the video to a green screen and provide custom backgrounds during the live video. Do you have any instructions on that?

Streaming directly to Vimeo, Facebook, or KZbin without any streaming software limits you to their video bitrate standard. This isn't that much of a problem but some folks want to stream to the highest standard available.

Not on the facebook live platform natively, you would need to setup a live streaming app and load the pre-recorded video to be streamed instead of live video. But honestly if you are doing that, you could upload the video and then schedule the video to be released on a scheduled time in Facebook. It won't be live but it will be available at the time you set.

I just wanted to jump into this specific comment because I'm dealing with a similar situation with my church's livestream and wanted to pick your brain about some possible solutions. So I've tried this exact method that you just suggested to Pastor Corey here, and yes it works great, however the issue arose when I needed to do this method twice. We have two services, one at 8am and one at 11am. I know that folks can just watch the video that was previously uploaded at 8am but trust me...NO ONE wants to do that at my church even though we're sharing the same exact pre-recorded video. (It's crazy to me but whatever) So, with all that said here's my question, do you know if Vimeo live or any other streaming platform that can broadcast a pre-recorded video twice, through the simulcasting method so that it can play on our KZbin, Facebook, and Website at the same time? My Church has a budget for this. The RTMP software I'm using is wirecast but I'd rather not use an RTMP because I'm now discovering that my upload speed matters to get a clean stream. Currently mine is 5Mbps and Xfinity told me that is my cap because I'm not a brick and mortar business. Any assistance or suggestions are welcome because we've been dealing with this for a few weeks now. I appreciate you and I watch all your videos which have educated me so much in this arena. The biggest concerns that we have was the copyright of music and paywalls. On premium plan so far have been the better one to go for. We had some talks with vimeo direct but they told us about using the enterprises jejeje dont know what will be the difference

The Vimeo Premium will be all you need and there are no restrictions on the music if they are part of your video.

AJay Using Vimeo premium account, we want to livestream to Facebook and KZbin on Sundays at 11:00 am using Mevo’s Multicam apps with three Mevo Start cameras on an iPad. I am lost! 1. How do I connect the three Mevo Start cameras using the Mevo’s Multicam apps to Vimeo? 2. It appears that I am to setup the livestream in Vimeo prior to the event. 3. I have a green screen behind me and I remove the green and place my video over the presentation, computer etc and then you can see the content through the green areas that have been removed

First off, thank you for sharing. I would suggest, the domain restriction/referrer check is not suitable for ensuring monetization (even off behind a paywall). Referrer checking uses the HTTP referrer header, which is a field that is within the user agent (browser) control. It is trivial to overwrite that with any value, including that provided by site with the paywall. Obviously a bad actor would still need to share the original link...but once shared, defeat of the referrer is trivial. This assumes no other linkage between the paywall/linkhost and the stream provider To be clear, for the average event...this is a great solution, and thanks again for sharing...but don’t rely on this at scale (or you NEED to monetize that content).

our church just bought mevo plus camera...we are a small church...we bought vimeo producer??? i am church secretary w/ no help in these matters...i thought w/ producer i would get access to embed a code on our website, but when i click on website in mevo, it says Vimeo Live is not available? We just paid 180.00 and what do i get to do??? Also i thought i was getting graphics, etc... how do i get these to operate on mevo?

Hey buddy, how is Vimeo pro live-streaming with pre-set events on FB/YT? We do one event per month which I want to stream to a private webpage, and then simultaneously cast it to KZbin Live and to Facebook live - but on YT and FB I'd like people to be able to hit the "get reminder" button in advance of the event. Does Vimeo Pro make it easy for me to get all that stuff right? I get one chance per month, hundreds of folks online for a short 20 minute window... I can't screw it up...

how much delay do you get when broadcasting. I had tested this a while back and found a 30 second delay.. making questions and comments awkward for live speakers... in other words -- the moderator asks a question and the audience doesnt see him ask the question for 30 seconds -- and responses flow in from there....

i like vimeo. just two issues i have personally is you can't contact them through phone only e-mail. and if you cancel the monthly payment do to financial reasons. vimeo will cancel all your videos on ur own account. that's huge. You paid for it so why would they delete all of my videos????? SMH and very shameful...
