Some of the games I played had some incredible art, great stories, and fun gameplay. But for some reason, you pick my game, Dungeon Dash, as a game worth a full mention. Seeing Vim talk about your game for 2 minutes is kinda surreal. Thanks for the jam and for the videos!

Hey @Mason, thank you! Aside from an update I've been working on for this very game (+5 levels and QoL stuff), I don't really have any gamedev plans atm. Glad you liked my art style though, makes me more confident to try new ideas in the future :) And yes, I LOVE metroidvanias and dungeon crawlers

This was my first game jam and I loved the experience. Sometimes when I start to make a game I never finish it because I dont have a deadline so I keep procrastinating everything always. Thanks to this game jam I was able to push myself to finish it on time, and I did it!!! :D I'm really grateful for the feedback I received from everyone who tried it and the all the tips everyone gave me to improve my submission. Overall, great experience.

I use Aesprite and pixel Edit. Pixel edit is great for tiled backgrounds. I use construct 3 to build games which also has a built in editor for pixel art. There are so many options. I'll do a video on it👍❤
