Do you think there's a space that an "Old" style Hoonigan type channel could succeed? Or do you think car/internet/consumer culture has moved on from that?

Ok so first off, a dream sandwich doesnt exist. But it would prob be an imported Long Island Chicken Cutlet variant on a hero. Car would be a truck. Big center console for placement and maybe a bag of chips. @@BananaWagon

Without Ken continuing the financial backbone of Hoonigan, it was destined to die off. Pretty sure Lucy didn't want to keep it and Lia has her own career in the works. In all, the others are a great group of people but without Ken, the fabric isn't there to keep the group together.

The loss of Vin, Hert, Suppy, Nads on top of Ken's passing absolutely changes Hoonigan in ways that I don't think the company can recover from. I love the work that Scotto does, obviously Gymkhana is the stuff of legends and changed the entire car media world, but things are so different now.

Daily transmission era back at the Donut shop was really a legendary era of youtube automotive content and you guys paved the way for many car channels that are on top today. And otherwise inspired millions of car guys and girls to build cars and hoon around. Its sad to see where Hoonigan is going compared to what it was, but I guess every good thing must come to an end. And like someone already said; without you, Dan, Hert, Suppy and all the boys, its just not the same.

One cool thing from my perspective is that when I discovered Hoonigan on KZbin, it was actually right when you guys had just started. When I found you guys, it was like you had been on KZbin the whole time and were like OG's of car content on KZbin. It's hard to come to reality that you have to move on from a job that you once loved, but it also is very mature and better for yourself as a person.

@@RejectReality97 see I have spent the last 10 years watching Hoonigan. If you don't follow it then this wouldnt effect you. And that's fine. Those who do 2023 has been hard. We lost one of the most influential people in the automotive industry ever, and for sure this generations. In the last few months we have seen most of the original crew from Hooigan leave. It feels like something that we have invested years has fallen apart. So yeah it can bring an emotional response.

This video is everything we’ve missed about Hoonigan. We were there for Hoonigan because it seemed like a bunch of friends having fun, living the dream. Once it lost the individual personalities & became more about product advertising, we lost the feel of personal connection to you the characters of the channel. We miss the feeling of hanging out at the shop & learning with the bros. I agree a vlog might not be your area of comfort, but these personal videos & carrying us along are what we want & miss. We’re here for the people, not corporate. I hope you find your happy spot, & we look forward to seeing you succeed on your journey!

I stumbled across you guys during 2020 while I spent 3 months in a children’s hospital holding my son begging for answers for his challenges. It was such a fun mix of car content. And the cohesiveness of you guys made it worth the watch. I spent hours with him in my lap so my wife could work, dreaming through hoonigans eyes, about fun car stuff. You guys provided an escape for that time period. And I can’t thank you enough. My son loves the sound of the engines and we’d love to be able to travel to events to hang out. For context, he’s one of five children known in the world with an unnamed genetic disorder. Again, blessings on all your journeys and maybe someday our paths with cross 🙏🏼

Thanks SO much for breaking it down for us. I came kinda late to Hoonigan, via Gymkhana, and it took me a sec to realize what was changing at the time of the Big Takeover. I really enjoyed you guys doing the crazy shit I can't afford to do or am too chicken to try. I got back into fun cars after driving econoboxes for 10 years, in part because of the atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm in the crew (such amazing guys). Personally, I'm kinda peace out as well. I wore the shirts and stuck the stickers because I felt a kinship with you guys, and that's not something that can be transferred or purchased. I'll check in with the channel, but I'm not rocking the gear anymore (except for KB / HRD). It would be like going to hang out at your friend's house 6mos after his family moved away. It's the same address, but it will never be the same place. I will support you OGs in whatever comes next.🏁#KB43VER
