Over the 2 years between part 1 and part 3, you seem to have lost a significant amount of weight. Congratulations! And thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to relay this infornmation to the wider world. I hope you enjoy creating as much as I enjoy consuming your content. Bravo!

Thank you. Very helpful.

do 4 nozzles play a role in change of direction? like when there is more gas flow in one it would push the rocket to opposite side and wise versa
@VDEngineering3 жыл бұрын
Very little however yes it does

Hello do you know why solid booster does not have multiple nozzles?
@VDEngineering Жыл бұрын
too heavy
@hafizuddinmohdlowhim8426 Жыл бұрын
@@VDEngineering too heavy is not the reason why it doesn’t have multiple nozzles. It can have multiple nozzles for short altitude and it is still lightweight.

I like your simple explanations.

Thanks for concise and clear explanation. Is it true that military fighter jets use over expanded nozzles primarily to protect the airframe from damage from the exhaust? Also do you have any CFD diagrams that model vortex generators on the top of wings to lower stall velocity?
@Enthropical_Thunder5 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't a higher expansion ratio increase the efficiency of the rocket engine? I mean, the compression ratio of internal combustion engines is pretty much the expansion ratio, right, so shouldn't those two have the same effect?
@VDEngineering5 жыл бұрын
If you're operating in an environment with minimal changes in ambient pressure (I.e vacuum or upper atmosphere) then yes. This is exactly why upper stage rockets only use one nozzle.
@Enthropical_Thunder5 жыл бұрын
@@VDEngineering I understand, so inside the atmosphere, engineers are willing to set these advantages aside, because the economical, geometrical and structural disadvantages are to big?

Excellent vd bro Your content is only 1 on KZbin . Can you make 2-3 videos per month.

I have a full time job and work out 6 days per week. My other spare time goes into these videos. I try and release 2 videos a month usually.

can engineers redesign the F1 engine that was used in Saturn V almost half a decade ago ? the biggest throat area...
@VDEngineering5 жыл бұрын
No need. A single nozzle is suitable for only upper stage rockets due to minimal changes in external pressure.

"and why they're placed so close to each other" ... hmmm, now, where else would they put them ? if not "so close to each other" ? lol
