@ronaldmccutcheon1329 That's great! What were the circumstances in which you met Mr. Kennedy? One of our contributors here on KZbin, Pat Henry, actually worked as Vince's gym manager in the 70's. I long for the good old days, too - that's why I have a garage gym so I can keep that vibe going. Thanks, Scott

Very cool. I became friends with Joe and Betty Weider in 1998, and attended a few Mr. Olympias in Vegas. One high point I remember was going out to Leroy Colbert's nutrition store in North Hollywood and spending hours chatting with him. Met and chatted with lots of them!

I agree, he actually encouraged her to bounce the weight off her chest when she was benching. Also, when you curl the weight all the way to your neck there's no longer any resistance on the bicep. That's if you can even reach your neck. If I keep my elbows pointing down, I can only reach mid chest.
@biblebill62067 ай бұрын
When doing curls you do not curl all the way up for there is no resistance at the top and she needs to lower the weight slow don't drop it . Drag curl is no bending the elbow .

I'm a trainer, 40 years experience. He got irritated with her. She didn't grasp the concept. He should of demonstrated the exercise himself first. Show her first, then let her perform the movement. Good trainers demonstrate the exercise first, explaining how to do it, along with what muscles you are using. I've been around the gym since the 70's never was a fan of this guy.
@knightveg3 ай бұрын
She understood the concept of a barbell bicep curl He introduced advanced techniques, with clear instructions, But she kept ignoring the instructions, even if he demonstrated the exercise she would have not performed it correctly, You can lead a horse to a water but you can't make it drink the water

Vince was a WEIRD dude. But, aside from his eccentricities, as a TRAINER he ever corrected the woman's form on Bench Press and dressed like he was embarrassed to show his physique which had probably gone to shit by then.
