I actually literally remember watching Vince McMahon this same interview and when he mentioned that WWE was not going to talk about Chris Benoit anymore I was devastated because it took me a few weeks to finally realize after all the investigating and stories a lot of the WWE Superstars back then we're on talk shows news broadcast saying that they didn't know the person who did that I couldn't believe Chris killed his family I'm telling you when Eddie died a piece of Chris Benoit died that he he should have always kept he was a monster literally on the verge of self destruct because that good decent Chris Benoit that everybody talked about that's the Bill Maher that died when Eddie died and it was just a matter of time I hate Chris went out the way did he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame but I would not say I approve and applaud his actions outside the ring as a man in the ring he was one of the best toughest SOB besides Stone Cold Steve Austin I seen in a long time I just hate I really do he didn't get the help he rightly deserved 😔😔😔 I respect Chris Benoit inside the ring but what he did outside the ring but outside what he did I just cannot take up for him...I'm sorry Benoit met Daniel and Nancy Benoit forever rest in peace 🕊️ a seven or eight-year-old child and an innocent woman they didn't deserve it

they should've owned up to it. avoiding it, and deleting him from the archives was very cowardly. 100% understandable that they should make an apology for the memorial, that part was definitely the right thing to do. The mature and responsible thing to do would've been to be direct, kinda like this simulation, but without the cenoship. Not revising history that had nothing to do with the crime (aside from maybe causing the brain damage by hitting him upside the head a lot) shouldn't seen as "condoning murder" If they respected their viewers more, they could've be like "We're sorry. we didn't know at the time. we were remembering the man he once was, not the monster he became." I guess the scrutiny over steroids and getting hit upside the head with a metal chair made them a bit scared. But once censorship gets its foot in the door, it always escalates.
