@@cafeAmericano Yeah, I find the old '60s Disney the most charming nowadays, like Herbie The Love Bug (1969) / Bedknobs & Broomsticks (1970) / Blackbeards Ghost (1968) / That Darn Cat! I’m 13 years old at the moment, and I’m obsessed with Tim burton. In some odd way he has helped me channel my suicidal thoughts into dark yet beautiful drawings and art pieces. He inspires me and by watching his work, makes me think that darkness has this abstract beauty. I do not fight my depression any longer, as it only makes it worse, instead I explore the darkness.

I was always fascinated by his films. I guess it started with the stop-motion film Corpse Bride that I got to watch with my nieces. It’s so unique, gothic and dark and I loved it lol. And then I researched about him and realized he directed Edward Scissor hands. Like that’s one of the creepy but unforgettable films that I watched as a kid during Christmas specials. I remember these kind of films since we have limited VHS and cable access back in 90s so you only get to see these films once in a while. You see things differently as a kid so you remember stuff. No wonder I loved his later films since I already got hooked with his style with Edward Scissor hands. I love the dark stuff but also the over the top ones like Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I am yet to watch the Sweeney Todd version tho (because they made it musical I think)since I liked the English version which is macabre and dark. I remember that and Perfume lol

While I did come across Poe in say 8th grade, I'd say Vincent here could use some therapeutic aid. For he is only seven and knows well Poe & Price, And his mother's ignorance does not make her nice. A boy that young knowing well of stories so grim, Me thinks the woman's clueless or otherwise rather dim. (When I hear/read poetry I start trying to type/write/speak in poetry.) What I'm getting at is, while Vincent is a marvelous piece, in it's animation/display and for how long that poem goes, it feels the mother should've maybe kept a closer watch on the boy...after all Price & Poe have some tales to tell that will leave your face...filled with woe. ;) And also, if I may add, the reason the muscles or body in general still react to electricity would be that the body, (or again, at least the muscles, heart, and organs), haven't decomposed enough if at all since I'm sure that amphibian was preserved.

See, not many people understand these kinds of things. For most people it is either creepy, disturbing, or scary. But I find that stuff intriguing. That's one of my main reasons I don't have many friends is because I'm a bit "strange" and they don't have anything in common with me. I've always felt a bit like an outcast but I'm used to it. I love this stuff and this is the best thing I've ever spent my time doing on KZbin haha

When I watched this I was 7 years old and I had gone to the cinema with my dad to watch the film baby the dinosaur (something like that) I was traumatised for months and I still remember it today until I explained it to my daughter who told me they was a new film just like that! The rabbit hole lead me here and I am dumbstruck that tim burton had such an impact on me for most of my life! He is one weird dude but he is amazingly memorable!!!!

I like both versions. I love the animated one for displaying Tim's art way more than this one did. But I prefer this one for the emotion. I don't think I actually felt as scared or depressed watching Sparky die in the remake than I did in this one. Also didn't really take to all the Godzilla jokes in the remake.

"Their biggest fear, and why it was kind of a stepchild project, [was] they were afraid of their core audience hating the film and not coming." The Nightmare Before Christmas was reissued under the Walt Disney Pictures label and re-released on October 20, 2006, with conversion to Disney Digital 3-D, and was accompanied by Pixar's short film Knick Knack.
