I remember the fair they use to have inside the base. Also at OLPH... good times :)

Now...this was a very nice walk. It was easy to handle the length while sitting on my patio with a favorite drink while interrupted from time to time by hummingbirds while surrounded by a fine temp of 74F. Since I'm not familiar with this area, your commentary really enhances the appreciation of the experience...Thank You!!

I really appreciate seeing these places I'm not very familiar with and learning about where major streets converge and end together. Never thought much about where streets ended. St. Catherine's Church and grotto are beautiful. I just love seeing excellent architecture. Thanks for braving the cold.

Long one this time! Always a pleasure seeing the old town. Here's another suggestion you may consider... There's the Fort across the bay, Fort Wadsworth, just a short walk across the Verrazano bridge which will be open for the 5 Boro Bike Tour on May 5th. Not sure if its open for non-bicycle pedestrian crossing, but ya never know. Maybe rustle up a bike or cover it all by drone.

Yea. I do alot of photography in Fort Wadsworth. So I have been in there alot. They have goats roaming around in there. You have to be careful with video cameras though since the coast guard base shares the area.

You are dynamite! I was raised back in the 1950s and 1960s on Fort Hamilton Parkway, between 47th and 48th streets. Watching you brought back a million memories for me! Thankyou so much ! I loved living there back then.
