When it was quran, old text dont have a place(in current society). When bible we should take some and leave some. Without context of the chapter the verses are from people will obviously see this as barbaric and evil. For example: Deuteronomy 25:11 (King James Version) The verse in which he read about a woman getting her hand cut off is a rule given to the Israelites of when or if a woman tries to help out her husband when her husband is fighting another man and She helps by grabbing the other mans "TESTICLES" (yes balls🤣) then her hand should be cut off.😐 Remember it was for Israel during the time Leviticus 26:27-3 The verse about the "Punish you seven times over and you shall eat the flesh of your sons" etc. This verse is about God giving Israel a set of RULES or COMMANDMENTS to live by and if they do not Live by these Commandments they will face Multiple punishments. @@Steyr32 I'm an Arab & I understand Arabic & studied English as well in school & I can tell you that there are some or few things in common with English & Arabic but it is vastly different from each cause one Arabic word be translated to more than one to two or more English words for example from chapter 103 of the Quran, verse 1 just says "وَٱلْعَصْرِ" is translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab to be"By the ˹passage of˺ time!". Additionally it is translated by Google to be "and the afternoon" the word "عصر" means afternoon. That's just one of many examples. Now I've read the Quran & it doesn't contain verses or similer like the ones presented in the video. And the most misconception I've noticed from Non-Muslims online is usually lost in translations for example "وَقَٰتِلُوا۟" can be translated to fight or kill. If I continue further explaining this than the comment is gonna be big. The best advise I can to people who is to read the Quran & at least have a basic understanding in Arabic to remove false misinterpretation of the language or just simple use a Quran app there's plenty of them but I personally use the Quran app made by GreentechApps which provides excellent explanation to not only explaining verses but also the language as well

The thing is, the stucture of the Quran and Bible are very much different. If you read a verse of the Bible to a Muslim, they would know it's not from the Quran and I'm assuming the same would happen if you gave a verse of the Quran to a Christian, they would know it's not the Bible. In Islam, we believe that the Bible is a holy book sent through an angel from god to Prophet Isa A.S. (or Jesus Christ) but it has been corrupted due to people making their own Bibles. That's why another Holy book was sent known as the Quran to the people to give a holy book that would not be corrupted. The whole Quran has been memorized and exactly replicated ever since it has been sent down to the Earth and through the creation of the Printing Press. It's unsure what actually happened to the original Bible but all I know is that the Bibles we see today isn't the same Bible that Prophet Isa A.S. (Jesus Christ) had from God.

Jazakallahu khair for your good intentions, but you made a (common, but still big) mistake. The bible and the injeel are two different things. The bible isn't what was revealed to Jesus, rather it is a collection of stories about him that were written long after he ascended. If you wanted to compare the bible to islamic texts, it would be more like the seerah than the Quran.

Bumped into this in 2024, 8 years after the video is uploaded. One difference i noticed between then and now are people back then saying that time has changed and old laws should update themselves to current times, and now, there seem to be more people saying changing certain old laws makes that old law not credible to be followed in the first place. Without context of the chapter the verses are from people will obviously see this as barbaric and evil. It's important that people should read other religions without fear of losing their current one. For me I picked different books from local bible study center and was surprised that all of them were bible. He very did not provide context because it would likely clarify what was actually going on. In the case where it says "here is my virgin daughter... you can use them or do whatever..." is from Judges 19. It was a man doing something morally terrible. He was allowing a woman to be sexually abused and raped. But I don't think the Bible approves of it anywhere. It was simply recording it similar to history books recording war crimes.

yes islam is indeed peaceful, but do be aware that doesnt mean muslims do not react to injustice or oppression, islam is peaceful just means that if muslims arent provoked, then they are friendly, but if anyone opresses us, or does injustice then islam gives us a right to fight back and speakup against it

“I do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man, they should stay silent.” “Kill rebellious children.” “Here’s how to buy slaves…” etc. These are the laws of the eternal, perfect creator. It’s stunningly disrespectful to such a being to imply he wasn’t clear enough, or didn’t say what he meant. What more context could such abhorrent laws possibly need? Just read the laws, exactly as “god” wrote them down, and take them at face value. The Bible is man made.

This is the problem with all Christians. You all pick and choose parts of the Bible which are convenient to you and then discard the rest. Who decides , how the Bible is interpreted is it the " holy spirit" like many Christians claim or is it the subjective opinion of human beings who claim to have an objective moral standard while subjectively choose which rules suit them.

People may think thee Bible was approving it. What happened in this story might have been avoided by an appeal to God. Something similar to this almost happened in the story of -Job- Lot (where he offered his daughters so homosexual rapists wouldn't target 2 visitors) but the visitors (angels) actually cause the rapists to go temporarily blind thus preventing evil.
