@eddiemperor my pleasure! I have seen Ritchie 5 times live (2, Rainbow; 2, DP; 1, BN) and he is my all time favorite; always will be :O)

Every time I have seen Ritchie in concert it is also a great opportunity to see all the who's who of the local music scene because they are all there also. It is sad that the era of virtuoso rock musicians has past and there is almost a total absence of musicians of his caliber today. Every album that came out had something new that I had never heard any other musician do. Even today Blackmore's Night is breaking ground that may finally get him the mainstream recognition that he deserves.

From early on Ritchie knew where he was going and did what he thought it took to get there without compromise.

Ritchie in fact doesn't care what anyone says about him ... he does what he wants, with whoever he wants ... real virtuoso

Blackmore is the true guitar hero, far above the shredding wankers. Total class and skill. 5 stars.

Funk and drugs were mostly the issues. I'm glad Hughes survived. I've met him once, and I thanked him in the words of Gillan "not only for tonight, but for all the years". Hughes had really big problems, but thank God he's doing GREAT these days. I'm glad he's got his own solocareer in addition to Black Country Communion with, among others, Joe Bonamassa:-)

I think there's alot of exaggeration about Ritchie's demeanor over the years. That said, he does sometimes play up on it for laughs

Ascoltate Django Reinhart, poi ripassate.
