Russo was a huge part of making the attitude era what it is.

Vinnie Ru is sooo understated when it comes to his contribution to the success of the Attitude Era. Yes they had an amazing roster. But imagine today’s writing with the attitude eras roster…it wouldn’t work..Russo deserves his rightful spot in the HOf

This is one of the most enjoyable Austin interviews and "shoot interviews" in general I've seen. Genuine opinions, stories and light hearted humour from the greatest of all time without all the agenda bs and the usual trouble stirring/bashing of people in the industry you usually get with shoots.

Agree with the praise for Billy Gunn. He had the body and look to be up there with Austkn and Rock. His selling was really good he just needed a better finisher.

Since the moment I first saw him as a kid watching a Summerslam 1992 until today the Undertaker will always be my favourite wrestler and the reason I got into pro wrestling but the Stone Cold Steve Austin phenomenon and how popular he was during the attitude era was legitimately impossible to describe to anyone who wasn't watching at the time. Austin was the coolest and entertaining person on earth and like Hogan before his popularity went beyond wrestling. Even here in England you would regularly see 3:16 sprayed on walls or written on the backs of bus seats, school desks, etc.. Hulkamania is the only comparison. The Rock has gone on to become huge and he was extremely over during the attitude era but Austin's popularity dwarfed the Rocks. WWE couldn't even turn him heel successfully because people refused to hate him.

They lose their edge in 2008 and they have never gotten it back. Reigns a heel is the most over guy the WWE has thats how bad it is now. The WWE should have gone out of business years ago... like 2014 but because they make all the TV deals they stayed in business.
@mattleee5 ай бұрын
They lost their edge years before 2008. Is it worse today than in 2008? Absolutely. Was it significantly better in 1998 than 2008? You bet.
