@Tack Draas Kendrick shows the East Coast love in his influences too! (Says me who's always lived on the East Coast😁) Y'all can hear echoes of the spare jazz-driven ATCQ classic The Low End Theory, and his SNL performance of "i" was in large part a tribute to the late great ODB. Kendrick's music feels like the history of hip hop itself. To me. I love me some Vince Staples too, but you're absolutely right: nobody says it cuz it's not a real thing.

Literally stepping out of your comfort zone when you pull up to a party and just fkn vibin being yourself within the crowd.. Vince is truly a underrated artist .
@davescorner5482 жыл бұрын
Ooohhh this video is really good. I think it displays how Vince feels ab himself telling his stories. Being a crip is like this party, and while Vince had a good time at first he eventually found himself getting the shit beat outta him. He tells the store clerk in the beginning he should’ve seen him like he was beating up the entire parties populous but the truth is he went to the party and got his ass jumped. He talks ab how cool being a crip is in his songs (at least at face value) but the reality is that being a crip fucked him up far more than he’s willing to admit. The point of the album “Ramona park broke my heart” is that while most artists have a heart break or failed love life that they constantly harp on for material, the gang activities at Ramona park were that for Vince.
