As a whole It's meant to portray how the black community is being used as a power card for politicians and corporate media. They don't really care about black power, they hide behind the Black Lives Matter movement. The black community is being used a vessel for the their agenda, fueling their own support (and division done by both parties). This is just another instant where black people are being used as a cultural stone, you see alot of young well off kids preaching the grimy lifestyle but yet live in the suburbs. It became an Identity, a persona. In the result you have a bunch a people preaching BLM but it's just for show.

@HDJK93 жыл бұрын
He's already earned that commercial and critical success, just in the way which he wants. In the beginning, Vince was pretty unfazed by being in the industry and treated it like a regular job. I think with Big Fish Theory and FM!, he started developing his personal confidence and accepted his position in the industry. Far as I'm concerned, Vince has dropped three classic albums which are all individually separate in their styles and influences. In words of Kendrick, "Be humble", Vince has an unrelenting work-ethic and he doesn't need a Grammy or whatever to earn recognition because he earned it many years ago.

@@dalonbranch8270 The thing is Kendrick is like a chameleon and the more versatile all-around artist who can switch it up in so many ways, especially with fellow artists he's collabed with over the years. GKMC was such a game-changer for the rap game, and is already being hailed as arguably a top 10 hip-hop album of all time given how it's already stood the test of time thus far. Still fuck with Vince nonetheless, and is among the top-tier holding the West Coast down since dropping a classic in Summertime '06 in his own right.

The first time I ever heard of Vince was at a 2014 at a venue called Grand Central in Miami, FL. I went to see Joey Bada$$ and Vince was the show right before Joey. He performed "Kingdom" ft. Common but it was acapella. When I heard him say "Leina took a puff and then she gave it to my father/ Used to take the bullets out so I could play with the revolver/" I knew right then and there that he would rise in this game and look at him now. Look how far you've come Vince!! Thank you for the years of outstanding quality music. Love you bro! Hope to work with you one day.

Should be an interesting project. Saint Jhn told him to dumb it down and make music people can feel. It seems like Vince took it to heart based on his interview. So we will see what his new approach is
