@@LauraBlack-rp8js very underrated in my opinion. I’ve seen some amazing bass players (Stanley Clarke, Tony Levin, Victor Wooten) & I would put him right up there! Never got to see him live (yet🤞).

One of my favorite albums! Thank God for my dad's taste in music! Will always remember the first time hearing "Look Sharp" and that album cover. The drummer, bass player, and Joe Jackson's style! Ecstacy!

Elvis Costello comes to mind , also . I bet I'd have had a great time at one of Joe's performances . He is a Wow . I saw Elvis Costello at UNC Chapel Hill with the B52's . It was great ! The Netflix series is just wrapping up filming " The Summer I Turned Pretty " here on campus .

BRILLIANT!! Thanks for sharing. Saw Joe and his band at Ashbury Park, New Jersey on August 1980. One of the best live acts of the punk era. I also saw The Ramones the night before at another venue in Ashbury Park. Needless to say, a memorable weekend 😑😎🤯

Grew up on Joe Jackson music its so nice hearing it again and watching this on KZbin Yes we had MTV in the 80s. But i dont ever remember them airing any of his performances or videos if he made any ? I always thought his music and lyrics were brilliant for the time this was the “New Wave” music in the day

A pure genius. I even have the soundtrack album Joe made for the movie "Mike's Murder", with Debra Winger and Jack Lemmon. That is how much of a fan I am. I have all the albums and they are still in the plastic sleeves. I just used a pin to open them way back when. The early albums should be collectors items.
