5:10 after the great Miller Kordic war, announcer refers to the old days when there were a lot more fights! 😂

And you know, there are a lot of people who like the game today better because of more skill, which is when I proudly state my status as an uneducated, mouth breathing barbarian who prefers this era of hockey. The game is cool and all but I'm really only a fan of it when it's physical. I never claimed to be educated or civilized anyway.

no butterfly, water bottles with holes poked into the top, close penalty boxes, heavy wooden sticks and no score in upper corner. But man they can throw them!!

Fred Kusick. RIP

One thing I keep noticing about this era of Bruins hockey telecasts is how Dave Shea and Fred Cusick swapped roles in the second period frequently. I wonder if NESN/WSBK producers were anticipating Cusick's retirement and trying to get him to pass the torch. Cusick favored the Bruins (nearly all teams have homer announcers) but he often gets a bad rap which seems a bit unfair. I think it mainly has to do with Derek Sanderson who was known to bleed black and gold.
