i'd love to see joel play the PC engine castlevania game Rondo of Blood, it's my personal favourite for the soundtrack alone but it's play style is the closest to the first game whilst still doing plenty of new stuff to keep it original

A little late for me Joel but here's a thought from my sleep deprived braaaaaain! Death in Castlevania is given a physical form because he's the grim reaper right? I imagine whenever a belmont defeats him he is simply banished from the physical plane and he's just like "k whatever bruh, smack the shit out of ol Drac-attack for me" Course there's probably some lore about Death in Castlevania I'm too lazy to look up.

+Cactusman129 Actually, in the main canon, he's eventually killed for good in 1999 by Julius Belmont (it's told as part of the story in Aria of Sorrow, though they never got to make a game starring Julius before Konami murdered the franchise). Well, sort of. HE is killed permanently, but his powers (the power of dominance), his castle, and the influence of destruction and chaos still exist (although Chaos is the final boss of the good ending in Aria of Sorrow).

Dracula means "son of the devil" and Dracula always transforms into this demon so maybe Dracula is the son of the devil and that would mean Satan is the king of darkness and maybe that is why Death hangs out with dracula but that would also mean Death as a concept is something bad and evil even though death is a part of life what I do not really understand.

Hey Joel, new rule for Hardcore Friday; If you ever find a glitch in a game that makes it freeze, don't use the rewind feature. Just accept your fate and start the whole damn thing over. Unless the game has save files. And if so then you're not completely screwed over.

Well the point of Hardcore Friday is to never use save states, nor use the reverse feature, no matter the cause. Got the wrong weapon? Deal with it. Died near the end of a level? Get used to it. Run into a game-breaking glitch that freezes the game? Either stay there or reset the game.

+Nunof Yerbizness IDK, it feels very redundant and just plain bad in terms of uploading something if the game crashes for the wrong reasons and we have to accept it for the sake of "rules". If I get a gameover or I have to do stuff through what the game tells me, sure. But when the emulator has faulty programming or other external issues I really don't account it into the stream's theme.
