I was on a family trip, 9 ish hour car ride home, a good chunk of the way through I was just hit with a wave of uncomfortable depression. One of those moods where everything pisses you off and nothing makes you happy, I was in the backseat with my brother going through all the music in my phone trying to find something I wanted to listen to. I'd already been listening to so much music for hours straight, I was so burnt out on everything I was listening to. Then I remembered this, I was lucky I had enough bars to load this. I kept cupping my hand over my mouth trying hard not to burst out laughing, then I listened to super ghostbusters after. I think just the pure absurdity of sex in minecraft was enough to push me out of that slump. Stupid as fuck, but it really made me feel a lot better in that moment.

You know this album is actually a really intelligent concept album. It stars a boy who is obsessed with two things: Sex and Minecraft. Throughout the album, the boy loses his grandma to a fatal disease, but due to his unhealthy obsessions he simply doesn't care, and so grows older, never straying away from his childhood (as seen with the songs in the later half being parodies of kid TV show jingles) and always obsessing over sex and Minecraft. Soon, the boy gets the same fatal disease as his grandma, but due to his obsession he simply does not care, which just annoys people to no end. This album could be a message about how the new generation is way too obsessed with their technology and themselves without seeing the importance of life. It is a beautiful, surreal experience that prides itself from sounding like a complete joke, but in actuality is a full force epic surrounding life and death, and especially what makes us human, and what drives us to do the things we love, whilst also showcasing how we should take time off the things we love to spend with those who we love. Another amazing record from Joel.

This album was truly inspiring. The lyrics, instrumentals, and singing were incredible, and Joel has yet again revolutionized music industry much like he did with his previous album: "Super Ghostbusters Deluxe Edition." A much needed change, as most so-called "music" these days has become stale and so poorly written. Every single time our main character said "Grandma is dying," I got chills down my spine. The writing and delivery of each lyric was so well planned out and emotional, the story in each song so heart-wrenching, yet so beautiful. Telling of how sometimes the simplest things in life, such as "Sex In Minecraft," can bring us the most joy in times of sorrow. I give this album a 10/10, though not quite as good as Super Ghostbusters Deluxe or Super Ghostbusters, it's still a classic that will go down in history as one of the greatest albums ever made.
