No I remember growing up seeing two commercials very unsettling on t.v. commercials about ten years ago to twenty years ago. I know teen Nickelodeon it was around the original Zoey 101 and Ned's Declassified school survival guide was just being released on teen Nickelodeon. I lived in a neighboring state from you Vinny and they aired on Nickelodeon. Again Nickelodeon had pretty messed up commercials mostly by truth anti-drug PSA commercials. The “Pussy” advert is interesting, because like many of these commercials they become unintentionally funny when they’re localised around Europe. “Pussy” is called “Felix” in the UK, and is a beloved brand with an iconic jingle. My old schoolmaster used to work in marketing especially naming products, and managed to name a popular car as something which means “cunt” in several dialects. Similarly, our mutual name means “mouldy bread” in parts of the Scots Highlands.

Off the top of my head, I've seen the UK PSAs about level crossings, and I remember having to go to a high school assembly in NJ where we had to watch a video about not trying to beat the train since they were adding light rail to the town at the time. It's sadly a fairly common thing.

The Solar Leads commercial is advertising to companies who install solar panels a way to get leads for clients. getting a lead means they found someone who is possibly looking into getting solar panels and so they can pursue trying to sell to that person.
