I went to see Slender in theaters with a group of friends, totally worth the money, every penny. Not because the movie was good, but because the theater we were in had to be slap full of comedians. Every jumpscare the theater burst into the most hysterical laughter. There was only one that succeeded in scaring us, we all gasped or screamed a lil, and then IMMEDIATELY began laughing at how it was such a dumb jumpscare but it caught us off guard. Slenderman's face looked like a baked potato. When he popped out this one girl next to me yelled at the top of her lungs "Thats a whole ass corn on the cob right there!" I have no idea what that meant but it put the whole theater into tears. Totally worth it imo.

These "spooky" games nearly all have the classic collect-a-thon problem where you get diminishing emotional rewards for finding the collectibles, but they get harder to find which means more perusing the level until you feel like you've seen everything a thousand times but the game is still like, "Nah, one banana missing, bro, keep looking!" I miss the stank of old Game Maker 5-8 games that exclusively use the drag-and-drop objects and events, with the default window and room size. That Slender Sea game probably took all of 10 minutes to make. I will say, I still keep my _legally purchased_ copy of GM8 Pro because I really liked the sprite editor. It honestly still holds up.

Okay, to be fair to "Scooby Horror," Scooby wasn't bugged out or anything, the win conditions and where he spawns are random. One round you have to cut ropes to get to him, another you have to free him from the gate, there might be a few others. I actually like the idea behind it, having the goal change but be mostly the same each round.
