Both toon Zeldas are the best Zeldas too. Both the Wind waker and the Phantom Hourglass ones. The have real arcs that make sense

@Reac2 it's not just Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass. All the Toon Zeldas are great. Spirit tracks zelda is super cool, and Minish cap Zelda is adorable and lively in the short time you get to know her. Though some of the non took zeldas are cool to, like Botw/Totk, or one of the more underrated Zeldas, OOT Zelda, who's an absolute badass.

I love calling this game underrated cause it always pisses people off. Great edit even if I'm a few years late.

It pisses people off? But it is underrated. People who haven't played it often call it where the series started going downhill after Thousand Year Door, but despite the gameplay being more experimental it still had just as much creativity and humour. It was Sticker Star where those things took a nosedive; that's the game I can see pissing people off if you call it underrated.

@@Terithian I don't know if I'd agree that it's "underrated" per se, but I definitely don't think it deserves to be called a bad game. However, I think it's glaringly obvious that a lot of parts of the game are tedious at best or extremely boring at worst; chapters 1 through 3 feel like the only ones that have decent pacing. Given how limited the game is being a 2D Platformer compared to Paper Mario 64 and TTYD, you just end up backtracking a lot or going through vapid empty areas just for the sake of going from point A to point B, and chapter 7 is the biggest offender of this. With all that said... From a story perspective, it's very possible that it's the best in the series hands down in terms of writing and just overall plot. Even to this day I still love it.

​@repingers9777 no there's definitely parts that are boring or tedious Yes a lot of the worlds and characters are fantastic, but there's backtracking for puzzles/quests that just, unfortunately, sucks. I love this game, one of my most replayed games. But there's a ton of moments in the game that are tedious padding for sure. However, this is a thing in pretty much every Paper Mario. Ttyd has a similar problem, tho not as often, and SS is FULL of it

Going off of those lord of the rings theories, I think giving Frodo a sealed box with the ring would be worse. When he knows what it is, he can at least tell himself he needs to destroy it at all cost, even if that means running away from the fellowship or believing his best friend is trying to rob him. But if he didn't know what he was carrying, Sauron could twist his way into Frodo's curiosity, get him to open the box or abandon his quest.

Yeah, isnt one of the reasons a hobbit had to carry the ring, because they have less ambition than the other races? Even Gollum just kept it for himself and didn't try to take over the world with it. The same lack of ambition could easily be twisted into giving up looking after this supposed magical bauble Frodo couldn't even see. He had to see and feel it's danger and context in the world to motivate him on his quest
