Ok Vinny being like "i got really lucky" on the one hand, yes, he did get lucky. But on the other hand, this man works so hard, streaming consistently every day, always keeping things fresh, and staying engaged with his community. Not to mention all the work he put into Vinesauce as a network whenever it first launched. Vinny has worked hard for the success he has achieved.

Yeah, it's definitely more than luck, because there are some people out there who get truly lucky, hit the apex of popularity, and become irrelevant a few months later. Vinny has a consistent audience that is, if anything, growing larger at a steady pace, because he keeps bringing in new things to streams and like you said, he works hard. Perseverance, dedication, not to mention talent -- so no wonder Vinny is where he is now :D

One of my favorite quotes from Vinny was something basically along the lines of "People are either gonna treat you like God or Satan, so you need to be able to take both people's praise and criticisms with a grain of salt." Even though Vinny is my favorite streamer, I try very hard not to fall into either category. He's good, but not perfect. He's a funny character, but also a real person. He's an inspiration to me, but not an idol.

Dumb Boi, Its a Pop team Epic (a meme manga, in the broader sense) reference. The smaller girl orders a hambuger and says "HAMBAGA PLEASE!" as in she says this in english, not japanese. The clerk response with a "no no, its Hamburger!". Afterwards the small girl goes "Ah. You are motherfucker!". The "You are motherfucker" part kind of became a popular reaction image on the internet. But as Apple said, if your goal is to make a shitty anime reference, at least have the brains to do it right.

I know chat sometimes throws shade at binny for being bad at bidoe gams. But for real he doesn’t suck he is just playing a ton of different stuff(which is nice) what im trying to say is that i love vinny and definitely the best streamer in my book. He has helped me through many though times and made me enjoy 16bits games especially especially chrono trigger and castlevania. Here’s to many more years vinny/chat!

plus it's really difficult focusing on a few things at once: making sure that the stream's set up right and doesn't break down; paying attention to the audience / chat; making funny jokes and impressions; keeping a train of thought (more or less); keeping an eye on the clock; AND playing a game. I sometimes forget things on the stove while playing a game, so I'm not going to throw shade at any LPer or streamer for not paying enough attention during a game :I

I didn't get time to go to his panel that year, but i did bump into him in the crowd right after his autograph signing. He told me he had no time for photos or to talk to me because he had been signing for a whole hour longer than he had intended and was exhausted so he was on his way to the Special Guest Lounge room (out something like that.) I could see in his face he was extremely sorry for not having time for me and i completely understood. I told him to have a great day and, i swear i heard him say to me, in an exhausted voice, before stumbling away "thank you, chat..."

Vinny is really good with an audience, despite how he tends to claim he's an introvert. I think this is especially true because if you watch his recent uploads where he's been recording himself without chat, he's a lot more quiet and less quippy (no complaints tho, pre-recorded streams are a nice change of pace) because he usually plays off the audience rather skillfully. He's a natural at public speaking, too.
