Apparantly he didn't even have anything to do with the name "Moonlight Sonata." Ludwig Rellstab gave it that nickname.

Max Headroom is a 1980s British satire composed of a cyberpunk movie and a few TV series. The idea was that a Bad Future would be one run by boring, low-effort music video TV channels with generic "white guy in a suit" TV hosts. So, they intentionally made Max a generic white guy in a suit, and presented him as "the first computer-generated / AI TV host". As 1980s tech was nowhere near good enough to actually do that, Max was played by Matt Frewer with heavy cosmetics and harsh lighting to look artificial, in addition to stuttering his voice a lot. The movie is actually really depressing. Max Headroom is the digitized memory of Edison Carter, a journalist whose last experience before he died in a vehicular accident was a sign warning "MAX. HEADROOM: 2.3M". Two years after the original movie, somebody hijacked two broadcast stations in Chicago as an even creepier bootleg Max Headroom. This person was never identified or caught. The only reason it was recorded is because Dr. Who fans were taping the broadcast.
