This is probably gonna sound so silly but I’m so nostalgic for you playing dreams. I found your channel at a time when I was very ill and all I could do for a long time was lay in bed and watch KZbin and fall asleep watching people who made me laugh. Being awake really hurt but I loved watching your streams so much. And watching you play dreams was one of my favorites

fr. it makes me sad knowing that all of these games & assets are probably insanely hard, if not impossible, to archive. it seems inevitable that all the things made in dreams will eventually be lost to time.

PSA: Dreams is NOT being shut down, just no longer updated by devs. But yes, pleeeeaaaase bring Dreams to PC, Sony. With full compatibility with all the content made so far. It deserves better than it got.

I’m curious about a PC port. At what point do you use a different game engine? The time it takes to become an expert in Dreams could be used to learn the basics of Godot/Unity and grant much more creative freedom.

​@@CluckNit's not always about becoming an expert in the most flexible tools but finding an engine that just clicks with you. Or appeals in some way either visually or interactively If your goal is to create a budget and maximize your use of all the tools at your disposal sure learning C++ or C# would lilely be better. Especially for groups where you need version control and all that good stuff But that can always come later! There are a LOT of overlapping skillsets and concepts that are shared between game development on all platforms and if you are able to make an enjoyable and unique experience in one engine, than you can take what you learned and apply that somewhere else!

​@@CluckN the point of these limited and gamefied game creation dev kits is to give people who don't know they want to game dev or where to start a complete set of tools they can just play around with. Abstracting away as much as possible of the coding part of game dev so Timmy age 14 can try to make a simple game which might lead him to the path of wanting to game dev and actually make games. Just as many people get into game dev by modding and romhacking before making their own games.

12:45 that's what's so frustrating about those movies. One of the things that makes Alien such a good movie is that the characters actually had a sense of self-preservation, yet were still powerless against the Xenomorph. The thought of being in a situation where no amount of caution and quick thinking can save you: that's what makes it so suspenseful and effective. Prometheus and Covenant just throw that whole aspect out the window and what's left are mostly generic horror movie clichés.

I kinda agree with you, but also in Alien they landed on the alien planet, walked into a ship, climbed down an ominous glowing room full of eggs, and then Kane shoved his head into one of these (yes, he was wearing a helmet, but it didn't save him, but actors were suffering in these costumes like in hell)

Yeah, if you play Japanese horror games you will probably become veeeery familiar with the phrases "tasukete" (help me) and "daijobu" (are you alright) because obviously you tend to hear them a LOT lol (for one example, in Corpse Party)

I just had a dream where I was in a plane. we were experiencing turbulence. I was trying to find a toilet. I descended the multiple floors of the plane. each new floor was as big as a courtyard. the lower I got, the clearer it became. a crash was inevitable. I had music playing in my headphones. I could still hear the screams. I reached the final floor & kneeled down. in front of me was the toilet door. I pulled out my phone. 1 notification: "A new FPS openworld Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles battle royale game with AI generated storylines has just been announced! I would just love to see an actual horror game with dinosaurs. It's criminal how little there is out there. All I can think of is Dino Crisis, and apparently some games that haven't been released yet (Compound Fracture and Deathground, for example). A game where you are just a random civilian in a modern day town/city trying to survive a dinosaur hunting you would be amazing if pulled off right.
