Adobe Standalone flash Player. Flash dying is only for browsers. Has no bearing on your actual PC itself. Also websites will implement Flash alternative emulators. Something around so long and loved by so many doesn't just go away that easily.

Don't quote me but given Tom Fulp and a few other NG icons are there, I think Randy the guard from that Zelda flash game might be a reference to the late Randy Solem, who was a big flash animator back in the day. Hope he's working with Flash up there, rest his soul.

@@tadpolegaming4510 Funny how we get characters from Xenoblade 2 and people think they're Fire Emblem. Not you, specifically, but some people apparently believed it. EDIT: It's also worth noting that the Embros are way more popular in Japan, where there is a high demand for them. Less so in the US, obviously, but they still have their fans. But we have almost every main protagonist available now, so hopefully we don't have to worry about any more of them showing up.

Seeing epic battle fantasy just unlocked a core memory, never thought I was going to see vinny play it. The creator still makes the games and the most recent one came out not to long ago it is ridiculously good for a game made by one person, definitely one of the best turn based RPGs.

There’s an exceptional flash RPG called Mardek that I’d love for Vinny to check out. (It’s also on Steam) It’s a good-natured send up of early turn based RPGs, and most of the humor holds up well. Easily like 40 hours of gameplay in it too. Made by one guy. Unfortunately it was never finished.

Oh man, Zelda and the Lampshade of No Real Significance brought back so many memories. I never got many of those references as a kid, but I definitely laughed at the ending, being very into Animal Crossing Wild World at the time. (Feng Shui is a very large mechanic in Wild World, moreso than any other AC)

Basically what happened was they just met at a con and talked about the old Newgrounds days for a bit. It was more weird for Vin, because he looked up to Tom as a younger chap and never thought they'd actually meet up face to face. I cut it from this video, because I worried it'd make the video too long and not be too interesting for most folks.

Oh my god, The Lampshade of No Real Significance was a flash game I've been trying to find again for years, I played it back when I was like, 7 or 8 or something, before I even hit double digits in age for sure. I've only remembered the game fondly and although I never progressed very far cause I was a dumb bebe, I loved the music and have remembered it from that since I discovered it

Because the last time I updated Flash was in October, I still get "Update Flash!" notifications and when I click them it leads to Flash's end of life page so I cannot stop them from appearing on startup.

As a fellow newgrpunds child i wanna say, for those not in the know, that these games are the cream of the crop, literally some of the best available (yes even the first one). 99% of flash games were utter shit, with some of them being seriously vile People who complain about steam algorithm never lived the pile of shit you had to shovel to get to the diamonds

Man, Goin' up had me so adicted. I remember laughing when I unlocked the "I can stop whenever I want" achievement for playing 1h on my first session, but then in what felt like 20' I got the "I can't stop whenever I want" achievement for playing 3h and I couldn't believe how late it was.
