my favorite part was when they spent 45 minutes building a giant intricate bridge made of massive logs over a stream that was roughly 5 inches deep, and they were actively standing in said stream to build the bridge. Solid engineering. genuinely can't wait for more of this!

One note about the performance, it runs especially bad in multiplayer currently, since it's all done via a host player running the session. I was getting 50-60fps in multiplayer, but solo it was almost locked at 72fps for me. The first game had dedicated server support, and I believe they intend to add it for this one at some point.

Also, the combat in the game is... Complicated. The cannibals are not ALL inherently violent towards you until you start killing them. BUT starving cannibals will attack on sight. If normal cannibals see you killing cannibals, destroying their effigies, or decorating with their skulls, their aggression increases. They will also spy on you, make note of where you live, send raid parties to burn down your home if the aggression level is high enough, and it just gets crazy. Best thing to do is to dispose of the bodies if you have to kill.
