Just make it simple. Like let two people go hiking, one goes missing, you see a strange light and now you need to find a way back to civilization with the occasional spooks and strange shapes. Maybe you find a hut on your way and encounter something in the bushes. Don't even show these fuckers. Make it 100% atmosphere and you got yourself a decent alien game.

I listened to Coast to Coast religiously as a kid. When I "grew up" I went to 'haunted' abandoned asylums, homes, graveyards etc. I even hitchhiked from Fairbanks AK all the way to Roswell NM and spent two WEEKS living on out of my pack on rationed water and MRE's camping as close as humanly possible that you can get to the Groom Lake facility without getting a very real anal probe from government officials in the hopes that I would see something, ANYTHING. Not so much as a single inexplicable light, a sudden drop of temperature or anything more bizarre or unexplained than discovering Alex Jones' show on my portable AM radio. Two years of my life was dedicated to finding the paranormal and I found, to borrow a phrase for Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Doodley Squat. I did my time and I can assure you that the Truth is Out There, but it is largely contained in folk mythology and abnormal psych textbooks.

I've been very excited to see Vinny play this. Only just recently heard it has garbage reviews, but the atmosphere (awful, immersion breaking VAing and characters aside) seems like it's pretty decent, but we'll see. Also on the topic of aliens/UFO stuff, while the discussion surrounding them causes my anxiety to flare up, I do have a real experience with a UFO, which people can believe or disbelieve. It was around 2007 to 2009, I don't remember the exact date of time, but I was hanging out with a friend at the beach. He loved digging deep holes in the sand, and I had little interest in doing so, so I paced up and down the section of the beach we were on. Well, I was maybe 50 or 100 feet from the hole, when I looked up at the sky and... Saw a silver orb just floating there over one of the nearby islands next to where I live. I gave it a moment to see if it was a plane or the like, but, it never moved. It just, floated there, for maybe a solid 10 minutes. I thought to take a picture, but the phone my mom had lent me was a Motorola flip-phone that had the resolution of like, 4 pixels... So that was out of the question. By the time my friend got out of the hole and wanted to go back to his house, it was gone. So yeah, that be my recounting of it.
